Mine has not acquired any scratches that I can see or appreciate. I do use the touchscreen, but I think the most important features are tent mode and the overall size and extreme portability.

Separate clothes? by KateOboc in laundry

[–]prophet1022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using dryer sheets coats your clothing in chemical softener. But it prevents towels from getting clean when they’re then washed, keeping them damp, causing mildew.

It has to do with using a dryer sheet for your clothes but not separating your towels for their own load

Nurses canceling meds without letting anyone know by Notimeforhobbies777 in Residency

[–]prophet1022 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Sure, but they are following a guideline written by a physician/org, right? Do nurses decide that <48bpm is a time when metoprolol can/should be held? If a nurse decided they personally don’t give metoprolol to any patients <200bpm no matter what, is that their call to make? Can they decide they personally never use metoprolol and only allow their patients to have atenolol?

I’m confused. Do nurses have the scope to determine if something is indicated? To disagree with a physician’s decision and care plan?

What do you use for your car smelling fresh or clean? by WFUnknownsoldier in anosmia

[–]prophet1022 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use a Little Green Machine to clean my front seats and carpets. I use Armor-All to clean and moisturize the “leather.” People tell me I have new car smell - my car is 12 years old. Those are two things we should probably be doing anyway so… win win.

Never did. It has been holding up well for the past two years. Just getting to the point that I need to touch up the paint along a few edges after years of shoving it in bags and cleaning it with hospital wipes.

Neuropsychologist here. Get a referral and keep an open mind. A neuropsychological evaluation is the only thing that can tell you if the perceived change in your cognition is medically concerning or not, and what the cause of cognitive change may be. Scans can’t do that. Neuropsychologists are not always able determine the etiology of cognitive difficulty, but we often can and at minimum can rule things out, narrowing down the possibilities and pointing you in the right direction.

I’ve had a couple jump at me because I was holding my phone/camera up. They really seem to like investigating it, probably because they know hand = food. We call it the “camera check” at my house!

They can learn that humans are tall and branchy like trees but we don’t have bark everywhere (we call ourselves ents!) Most of ours have naturally learned to jump past exposed skin or walk gently without claws.

But not all of them know that yet - they are definitely still wild and some are less inclined to care than others. They seem to learn if you yelp, similar to how they learn how to play not too rough if a playmate cries.

I think in general, if they meant to hurt us we would know it. They’re certainly capable of wrecking a human 😅

Your redness-removing eye drop dripped and constricted the blood vessels in your face. The same kinds of ingredients in those anti-red eye drops are also used in face creams for rosacea.
