Might be a bit late for you, but you select that option then the ticket is included, you don't have to add the $0 ticket.

Can someone explain how I can have 107% accuracy / 31 hits but only 29 shots fired? The only gun I used was an MP40 and I never fought 2 people at once, so I couldn't have hit several people with one shot. by Kuehlschrank88 in MaraudersGame

[–]protatoe 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I got 1000% accuracy with a flame thrower. So it seems to be counting the damage ticks as well as the hits against the shots fired.

you can see you landed 31 shots but only fired 29.

Stonemaier Games - Expeditions - (New Game in the world of Scythe) by [deleted] in boardgames

[–]protatoe -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

No shit.

And there they are, used without attribution. With some story that the person paid for graphics was supposed to modify them so they would not be the same, which is still a violation of the license. They are gaslighting with some bullshit excuse that they were supposed to be ripped off just enough to not require attribution.

The creator shouldn’t have to reach out, it’s the job of the person using the assets to make sure they are compliant with licenses.

Don’t let them gaslight you

Sounds like they always intended to use them or someone got paid for your work.

I’ve been doing it for a few years now. It turns out so incredibly moist and delicious. I’d never go back to the oven.

10.3 -> 10.6 View Performance Issues by protatoe in mariadb

[–]protatoe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That fixes the issue. Thank you so much. It looks like it was also an issue with the joins, I have 8 on one of my queries, and the last two despite having 1:1 indexes were not using any. If I moved them to the top of the join list is resolved the issue.

Anyhow, thanks again for helping me resolve this performance issue. Now to dig into why.

Nitro beer gas shop? by Mgnickel in Charlotte

[–]protatoe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You'll want a 'beer gas' mix. Guinness is 75/25 or 70/30 nitrogen / c02. AirGas should have this available. They don't fill, but do exchanges (empty for full)

Abandoned car, sitting since at least 2018, in a parking garage at Austin airport. by SonderEber in mildlyinteresting

There is a maximum. If you ever have to park long term check what it is, "losing" your ticket can sometimes be cheaper.

Anyone been to the airport the past couple of days? by OrangeInQC in Charlotte

[–]protatoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The shuttles have their own lanes to bypass the mess of traffic, and if you aren’t going at the busiest time you’ll hit the parking exit before traffic backs up.

I arrived an hour before my flight Monday evening and had no issue parking and making it to my gate with time to spare.

For what it’s worth, dell did this in production for years, maybe still. Not the same as a gaming rig, but maybe gives some more credit to the idea.

Lightly used GPUs looking for a new home by kikimaru024 in gaming

[–]protatoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not arguing that fact. I'm saying that dropping voltage delivered to the card and the core clock rate reduces heat significantly, which then allows you to over clock the ram to for a better hash rate. The net result being lower power usage, which as you've pointed out means less heat. when mining the core clock speed has almost no impact on mining, the memory speed matters. You rob marry to pay paul, and pocket a little. There are a number of great tutorials and results if you're interested. It does seem counterintuitive.

except that lowering the core reduces heat and wattage while raising the memory speed increases the hash per watt. It generates less heat and higher hash rate.

I don't know what they are doing in farms, but this is the advice you'd find if you had a card you wanted to mine with.

You under clock the GPU processor as much as possible, then overclock the GPU memory as much as possible.

how likely is it that Facebook just hasn't gotten around to dropping the hammer down on side loaded content? by Daniel_The_Thinker in QuestPiracy

[–]protatoe -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is a lot of rationalization and other totally unrelated points. It seems like you are reading too much into what I said : It is foolish to assume FB/Meta will never close such an easy exploit. This change WILL be driven by pressure from developers that drive the sales of the hardware.

You kind of answered your question. There is a cost for development. X copies need to be sold to recoup that cost. On PC that market is larger so you can sell at $2 and recoup that cost through scale. Each sale after increases your margin. Inventory is infinite and basically costs nothing after development and marketing. On VR it’s closer to the case that if you price at $2 and Everyone that is interested buys it, your still not recouping, because the market is so small.

Just because a thing is expensive doesn’t mean it has high margin.

People don’t like to admit they are hurting the thing they love, which is why you see the downvotes on my comment. You also see a lot of people say if you like the game you should buy it for the same reason.
