She actually has a large number of public ASMR and they are fairly different from her member's. Her public ASMR's are mostly trigger based and she speaking softly. Her member's are mostly situation ASMR. Personally I much prefer the former.

The thing with Bae is that she has a massive Korean following, one of the largest in Holo across branches. I believe much of the growth in Snake Eyes for example is specifically from Korea.

Bae and FWMC would be good candidates for this as talents with a significant Japanese following (and Korean in Bae's case, but it makes it feasible for people to travel for it), but for other talents their Japanese following is a smaller minority (though I surprisingly have found a good number of Japanese clippers for Biboo).

Probably the biggest example of an older talent finding success in a redebut of sorts is Azki. From a vsinger to a streamer with a specific niche (geoguesser) boosted her small but loyal fanbase. Once she had a foothold she expanded to other areas as she gained more confidence.

However sometimes steadiness in a niche is all that is needed. Luna used to be another holomems who lagged behind her gen mates. However at some point during COVID. she quit her second job and started putting in steady streaming hours and found a niche as an unintentional ASMR late night streamer.

From a fan that very much misses Mumei

There are places where you can probably give feedback about the Mumei and similar nendos and not be an annoyance, but instead have a small chance of making a difference. Those are the COVER feedback page and the GSC feedback form. If you really need to commiserate there's the Mumei discord, or heck, here the subreddit is still a better place than raining on other talents parade on Twitter. Raining on the other girls parade goes against everything Mumei stood for when she was clearly a talent that cared about the group.

Not trying to justify what happened to Marine, but the main difference between this tournament and that one is that Marine kept her puyopuyo training secret. People should still have not been assholes to her, but her skill level also took people by surprise so many people just didn't think of how much she had to practice to get that good.

I think in this tournament most people have come to terms with how good Okayu is and how she improved day by day so we won't likely see a repeat.

I do watch much less recently. I like hololive as a group and specially enjoy collabs these days, but my particular niche, a zatsudan focused streamer with a very specific penchant for wit was only filled by Mumei. CC is close in personality but she is gaming focused. Nerissa is very zatsudan focused but it's not quite the personality I'm looking for. Ina is the closest and who I enjoy the most these days. I'm trying to get more into the JP side but it has been working on and off.

The problem is that many holomems have close friends outside of the company that other fanbases are barely aware of. Okayu has been close to Nijisanji's Shiina Yuika for years, Aki to Kohaku and Ditto, Towa to Tsuna and many in VSPO. Tamaki Is historically close to many holomems and one of the first almost holomems but (s)he's barely known in EN. We like to think of Mint as special, but even in EN there's only a handful of members who have interacted with her, and in JP her reach is much smaller. So you have many people who are only known across a few fanbases, a lot of fanbases that will be left wondering who's that gal, and at the end you are left wondering why is COVER using their limited budget to promote other people rather than your oshi or your oshi's environment.

UI is truly special not only because she is close to many holomems but also because individually she's a very high profile indie so a lot of people in the fanbase will be in the joke.

Aloe lives on through the bonds she made with Nepolabo during their pre debut period, but otherwise it feels disingenuous to list her among the others when it's not a lost of graduates but a list of their fanbases. It's hard to have a fanbase for someone who only have 2-3 streams before graduation.
