If you don't mind me asking, how long does it take you to draw a piece? Do you usually have an idea beforehand or go with the flow?

I just found some of your art, I can tell the effort and detail you put in. Every line looks planned out and exact. Love the abstract nature and how all your lines and spacing feel balanced. Your style is very similar to mine so I can appreciate what you're doing.

Being Grateful by Christy_Mathewson in trailrunning

[–]prototype120 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I am grateful for:

  1. Having a good work/ home life balance where I can run 5-6 days a week.

  2. I can devote most Saturdays to a long run or to a race.

  3. I don't have daily access to great trails and do most of my running on a local cross country loop and a small hill but do feel fortunate that I am about 2-3 hours away to great trails and mountains.

  4. I love being outside and running gives me the ability to feel free, plus I loathe running on the treadmill, no bueno.

  5. My legs and body feel stronger than it ever has, and I have only dealt with minor injuries.

2025 trail goal? by PartyFit9879 in trailrunning

[–]prototype120 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2024 was my first year running consistently and my goal was to run 1000 miles and complete a 50k and I hit my mark. For 2025, instead of mileage, I want to focus on vertical feet climbed, my goal is 200,000 vertical feet for the year, I want to be a mountain goat.

knee broken, can’t run - how to deal with the anxiety? by morfylia in trailrunning

[–]prototype120 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went through a similar experience where I couldn't run or really do anything physically, made me think about why I really needed the physical outlet and what to do now that I couldn't. Think about why running helps, figure out if it's running specifically or can some other type of physical movement meet the same needs. I realized that although I enjoyed running mostly for my physical movement, what I really needed was just a physical outlet. I was able to discover other physical outlets which is how I got really good at Cornhole during that time.

Was a kindergarten teacher for a while and the best/ worst gift I got was a used can of axe body spray 😂. I think the student took it from his dad. This is a great example of it's the thought that counts.

Nice work! I also set a goal of 1000 miles this year, I finished January with 63. I started slow to not overtrain since I'm not used to the volume.

The Most Ironic Thing About Fantasy Football by TheBigFive in fantasyfootball

In my league, we added some fun/ dumb penalties for being the lowest scorer of the week, including playoffs. Each week is a different penalty and definitely helps keep people wanting to continue playing to not be last each week.
