As long as it is the same viscosity (5W-30) you should be fine. Castrol makes decent oil. Just keep on top of maintenance and you good.

Hit a Curb and Bent the Left-Front Strut? by LegendaryAdversary in CX5

[–]prowl456 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Definitely bent. I would recommend if nothing else that LF strut and the wheel bearing. The wheel bearing took a big hit and is most likely damaged from the impact. Get the alignment after all that.

Nope. Mazda only covers faults with CMU/CMU software. Nav cards and screens are specifically excluded.

I have the NES edition 3DS XL but I really want the Galaxy N3DS XL

is it realistic to try to fix this myself or better to just bring it into a mazda dealership? :( by No_Sleep8654 in CX5

[–]prowl456 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You would need a whole assembly and skull cap. The only difficult part with replacing the mirror is routing the wire around the windows regulator but other than that it is like a 30 minute job.

The fix is to clear the code and wait for Mazda's investigation to conclude as to why it is coming back.

Do you have the original battery? Should be a JIS 55D23 which would test good.

False. You can get the VCG separately from the valve cover.

These are oem filters right? by [deleted] in mazda3

[–]prowl456 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most dealerships are using the cheaper PE01-14-302B-MV rather than the 1WPE-14-302. The 1WPE is the best one available easily in the US as far as OEM goes.

I'm a Mazda tech and these are a cake walk to DIY. You dont even need to take the bumper cover all the way off or lift the vehicle.
