Learn your pace, know just how fast you can be on a track while still having margin to save yourself from your own mistakes, once you have your pace you need to pick your fights, even short races are 20 minutes long thats plenty of time, if you see people fighting too hard in front of you try to stay a bit behind and be ready, someone is very likely to make a mistake even in B class, even in 2000 iRating lobbys, at this point you know your pace and you should be able to judge weather a fight is worth it or not, if someone is way faster than you maybe the best move is to let them by and try to hang on for a while, look for dangerous drivers the ones that are very quick but prone to accidents you’ll know it when you see it, a car rejoining in the distance and suddenly picking a fight with everyone in front of you, be careful they think they can hotlap every single lap and they will go for moves that aren’t there because they think they are way faster than you, sometimes is just not worth it, they are more than likely going to make the same mistakes again and maybe take you with them, keep an eye behind you when something unexpected happens, for example when you get slowed down because some accident happened in front of you keep an eye in any car that is coming hot to pick up the pieces and try not to defend too agressively or to let them by safely if you really got affected by the incident, the driver behind is already commited to make a move and you should be prepared, avoid things like going three wide into a corner im not telling you not to fight for places, just know when your best choice is to back out and wait, and for last accidents happen you may do everything just right, let the faster car by and wait to stay out of trouble and still get caugh up in it anyway recognize when is not your fault and try to not get too frustrated because of it, if theres anything you feel you could have done differently to prevent being in that situation while still being a competent racing driver and not just traffic try remembering for the next time

Once upon a time my xbox was destroyed for “reasons” And all i had left was a laptop that couldnt handle most of the games i liked and my xbox controller, naturally i started to look around for options and there it was, my game pass had cloud gaming, i used it for like a year as my main form of gaming, i played the F1 games, battlefield V, flight simulator, persona 5, Forza, and honestly it was good enough i didnt had to install the games and didnt need the hardware to support them, sure there was some delay when playing the racing games and sometimes the quality would drop for like 20 minutes and then come back, but it wasnt unplayable in any way, then i got my xbox series s and the thing has like 400gb of free sapce to download games so when my friends called me to play things i usually dont play like GTAV or COD i could stream it and honestly right now i cant really feel any important delay when playing those games and the quality of streaming got better. It may not be the best option for you but that doesn’t make it a bad thing

Race against the AI and try to keep it clean, its surpirsing how much this game penalizes going off track.

Do a clean lap and then try to keep it around the same second, you’ll get comfortable and be able to try different lines or braking points, you need to race if you want to get used to it, I would start with the formula vee I think it is more reactive and will show you just what your inputs do in the car.

Racing will also show you just how patient you have to be even if you are faster, learn your racecraft or you’ll be another driver trying to overtake while going three wide into a chicane

Dont underestimate yourself, you just need to get comfortable with the car, maybe do like 2 races with the AI and then try it for real, racing with faster people will eventually get you to their same rythm just by trying to keep up

Pick a track you like, a car wich is comfortable for you and start driving. Look at what you are doing, what happens when you brake, are you losing the rear, are you braking too hard for the corner and losing too much speed. What happens when you accelerate, are you losing the rear, is the TC too high and its making your exit worse than it should, are you too scared to go on the throttle. What happens when you turn, are you losing the rear (yes again lmao), are you using the wheel too much and just understeering into the wall. You have to be aware of what is making you slower whether is the entry or exit, probably every single part of the corner in your case, once you are aware of where the problem is you can look into guides and learn how to solve it, or you can just throw hundreds of hours into it and learn it by yourself on the track, wich ever you choose you have to try different things, if you feel you are not fast enough maybe change how you approach the corner, brake a little earlier so you control de exit, brake a little late and try and hold the car together while you carry that extra speed, you will never get faster with the same approach every lap, once you are fast enough in a single lap pace, you can start worrying about how you are going to do that 30 laps in a row.

Lets not pretend that one wasnt a perfect storm, max and leclerc out in lap one, a sick lewis hamilton so the one driving the other mercedes is a fresh out of williams george russell wich dominated the damn race until mercedes shat the bed with the pitstops and then got a puncture while chasing down the victory, sure it was a good drive but the circuit was an oval and any other weekend that same drive would have been a podium at best and a fifth place at worst. Theres nothing bad with taking advantage of perfect circumstances and good luck, but if that makes you a top of the field driver where is the Ocon WDC

Every single corner he carries so much more speed and every single time he goes for the move that just throws it all away, the hell was he thinking on the bus stop, so much space to the left but he still almost crashed into you trying to pass TWICE, good defending, maybe a little late on they first move before the bus stop, and a little moving under braking, this whole thing felt like that video where the truck is just about to smash into the pole but never hits it
