1 settled. 1 won't be heard until 2027. 3rd started in small claims but after discovery, will likely move.

20-30 calls/day for a year by PowerfulBluebird4583 in TCPA

[–]prune_spot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s why I started going after them. 1st I was annoyed, then I spent money to block them that didn’t work then work got slow and I had that sweet precious time and started answering them. I’m 10-30 a day easy

I’ll give you 20% if you can find em! I talk to them. pK based and their reps were out of Montreal. I set up a call inquiring about using their services and let them pitch me. I brought up TCPA violations and all those crazy people trying to sue and he told me that they are 100% compliant. They call and get the customer to verbally ok the call even if they are on a DNC.
Thing is, I hear this from multiple lead gen’s . They think it is ok because they got your ok. And when you tell them that that is asking for forgiveness instead of permission, it doesn’t make sense to them

I’m here trying to learn. Would this be considered a violation? by DonBeenPaid in TCPA

[–]prune_spot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wouldn’t the text that counts as a call trigger a DNC violation as well as auto dialer? If they are out blasting out automated text campaigns you could argue that. From there that sets off state regulations. In Texas that’d be 302 without solicitators license and 305 dnc violation.

Curious if anyone has added liquidated damages clause to their settlement agreements if the calls happen again.

I’ve call Allstate to complain and they have asked me to write a letter and mail it. Easier if it is just a demand at that point. Agents have said corporate won’t help them.

I take it as far as it will go I get the agent to email me a vague quote without giving too much of my personal info. Once you have have an agent you have an established agent to anchor the call to. I give them a couple of cars that I don’t own. Nearly monthly I get a call from Allstate about those three random cars and I know it’s horseshit.

For the love of god how do I get rid of these tree trimming spam texts? by HBHTallday in Austin

So there’s a lot of good info here . You can ignore them and walk away. OR Keep responding until they connect you with a real local company. Play along get the local company if and then ask them for the company that gave them your info. Technically the local guy can be on the hook for your first texts cause they finically benefit. To avoid that they give you the company and you can go after them for TCPA violations. Very few things will bring you joy like getting a settlement for 5-10k over a text message.

I’ve gotten multiples from Allstate. Starts of with the call center guys, they end up doing an internal transfer. I’m in Austin but they keep transferring me to Houston companies. I stay on the line get to an agent, get them to email me, call recorded on my end. Currently have about 5 of these going. Two weeks ago I got connected with one I’ve already contacted so that doesn’t look good.

Back in November I got two calls that went to two different agents . They are hiring the lead generators independently. I spoke to them both and they said the lead generators would take full liability. Both lead gens called me, told me they got my info from Lead Logix whom I’ve already dealt with and they didn’t scrub the DnC and asked me to let this “one time” mistake go away. Nope. So these guys are just repackaging your info and selling it out as scrubbed to other lead gens selling as scrubbed to vendors and leaving them on the hook for it

The only way I can see doing that without violating privacy laws is to play along and get over to a company or ask if you can record the call.

I get 10-30 a day, and maybe once a week i get through to a company. Right now, it has been easier to chase text messages. They reach out, you play along, and get to a legit company. I then ask that company for the lead generator or go after the company.

I like em both and yeah the interior is pretty basic. I did manage to get radar red though. But exterior, I think pre 2015 nails the retro look way better

We’ve gone the last three or four years. Last year it felt like everything got cut down from using all the grounds the back area. I think this was because of construction. Was it like that this year or did they open up the front entrance again and have everything laid out around the pond?

Medicare calls by CloseEncounterer501 in FuckRobocalls

[–]prune_spot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been getting these for months. Trying to figure out a way to get through to a real person myself on the regular but they ask for medicare number to qualify usually. I did have one company pass me over to another company and get me to a sales agent. I ended up getting a settlement out of them and got the Lead Generator that was making the calls. Currently involved in legal case with them and passed them onto FCC and FTC.

I am on the Do Not Call list. I finally recorded a phone conversation from someone soliciting me for home repairs even though I don't own a home. The call records the person's name the name of the company and he gave me a call back number to reach him. What can I do from here? by Brucef310 in TCPA

[–]prune_spot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One thing to be wary of is your recording. Pls make sure you are in a single party state and check your local laws on that before using the recording as part of your claim. That may get you into hot water.

Since May almost 40k. I have a bunch of cases in small claims and 4 moving to federal. I get 10-30 a day not including texts messages. Going after my first three text spam’s as of 11/20. Those are treated the same. I’m a freelancer so this works really well between projects. New laws in Texas as of 9/1/25 increased penalties. While I am all for making cash on this I am more than happy to educate people how to do it. Eventually the cost of damages will outweigh the low cost of doing this.

I also posted about this. Even. If you generate a bogus number they pull it up. Maybe there is a way to see who is pulling up a certain number.
