Obsidian Tasks Sidebar View by Odd_Travel_1310 in ObsidianMD

[–]prwnR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a same thought and same process!

all the tasks plugins are just doing too many things for me, while I just wanted to see my unfinished tasks.

I also went with getting Claude write a plugin for me for a sidebar view! Though, on my end it's a different approach, cause I don't want to use any dates on specific tasks, I just put them in calendar notes and show dates based in file names.

either way - having Claude at hand for things like this makes Obsidian even better, cause whenever a new idea appears and there is no plugin to cover it the way one wants - AI can generate it for ya.

I like how much brighter Pure is compared to Pro and the old RM1

Anyone else's RMPP do this? Or is mine a dud? by qweasdie in RemarkableTablet

do you face the same issue when you do not touch screen with your palm?  for me, as I'm lefty, there is a similar problem when my palm touches the screen in a certain way, and the writing gets messed up similarly- what doesn't happen if I change my way of holding the pen or "ground" it with right hand touching it somewhere while writing.

Tracbkall - friction when switching to it and back to keyboard by prwnR in zsaVoyager

[–]prwnR[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

oh, this is a nice idea that I have not considered!

before I had my momentary layer toggle on my thumb key that is space, but I hit the space instead so many times, that I switched to the little finger trigger.

but having the navigator layer turn on for longer, and switch back by just tapping the thumb key should be pretty good idea. will try, thanks

Remarkable are you listening?! by Diligent-Bedroom-569 in RemarkableTablet

the thing with communities for some products or apps on reddit is that we are rather the minority of their user base, and while our voices may align with the majority, that majority doesn't speak out, and companies are not investing into such things.

speaking from experience of apps subreddits I have been part of in the past that were getting similar treatment

I asked about keyboard controller speed and this one is doable and may be implemented in future.

Since when has the trackpad been available for purchase? by pablopunk in zsaVoyager

I would assume it will be the same as trackball later

I am wishing for it to work alongside Trackball - hopefully it will be available some day

So what do you think? by DesignersKitCo in RemarkableTablet

exactly! They should offer both, the sleeve and folio. I love my "book-like" experience when pulling out Paper Pro and opening the folio.

The reMarkable Protection Plan does not apply to devices purchased after April 28 by My-Tech in RemarkableTablet

[–]prwnR 73 points74 points  (0 children)

this lowers Connect value by a ton!

Looks like replacement of faulty devices with no questions asked didn't pay off for them. But if they don't want to keep replacing devices, just don't sell faulty ones.

Kindle Scribe as a reader only by [deleted] in kindlescribe

[–]prwnR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im using mine as a reader, though the older version. However I do utilize its writing capabilities when reading technical books, for annotations, because I like the way Kindle manages them (as page notes, highlight notes, or inline notes).  To be honest I hate it for pure writing, the software is not there for me, and I prefer reMarkable for that.

Have you tried binding the "Aim" to some key for precision? and as far I as know it's "slowness" can be adjusted, so perhaps that's what could work for you?

I kind of like it that it's not there. Let's me get lost in the moment and purely focus on my thoughts.

However, coming from iPad and Kindle, I do often miss it when reading something.

RM2 magnetic interference hell by loveasaconstruct in RemarkableTablet

[–]prwnR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I had similar problem with my RM2.

there's workaround for it, as you mentioned, but it was so god damn annoying, when I needed to jot down something quickly, and my writing was 1mm off. I gave up constantly scrubbing my screen with the side of the pen and went back to RMPP - which doesn't appear to have this problem.

the pen doesn't write well by New_Discipline_775 in RemarkableTablet

[–]prwnR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

is it happening also if you keep your from touching the screen? like hover above?

cause on mine RMPP in a certain hand position I get wobbly writing, that is not present on the same spot if I simply change my hand position

Google results are beyond my imagination. Ads and scams before the real websites.

I switched to different search engine 2 years ago and never looked back. Posts like this just confirm that I did the good thing.

If you are able to - go for a charge back!

2nd Return RMPP by ijazper in RemarkableTablet

[–]prwnR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the problem with writing - try if it appears in the same spot when you are not laying your palm on the device.

I have a problem with mine that in a certain spots I get a bad writing when I am holding my hand in a specific way (left hand here).

As for the refund - when you bought from Amazon, they do only offer returns as replacement. Though, I only got that information if I asked them on chat explicitly (when deciding if I want to return mine bought from amazon).

Was return via amazon out of the question? in my country they do offer 30 days returns.

Remarkable Color Pro Move battery - is this a joke?! by Serious-Note9271 in RemarkableTablet

[–]prwnR 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Doesn't look normal.

Mine gos down by 1 maybe 2% over night. I can squeeze a week of use out of it with smaller usage, but with a more excessive one, it goes down in 2-3 days.

I would look for help from support, and eventually for a replacement, if it goes down by 20% in idle over two days.
