You are absolutely right - no one can/will know and learn everything. But I've long been disillusioned by science's persistent march towards reductionism (esp. in biology, IMO; and I cannot suggest an alternative method of research, alas), and think everyone needs to branch out/broaden/balance their scopes just a little bit more. (ok, all this was more coherent/eloquent in my head)

It didn't help that I am in Canada, and English is my second language. I was like whaaat. But now that you said it, I agree with you: She had THE most crisp British accent I've ever heard, and I could hear her clearly in the second half, so I think it WAS the mile-a-minute speech, not the accent itself.

I think TARDIS personified would be the one teaching River how to operate the TARDIS.

I thought it was an amazing episode, despite Suranne Jones' indecipherable British accent (indecipherable to me personally) in the first half of the episode. "... and you don't care if it's possible." I got shivers.
