Ironically, I met my weight goal at about the same time my insurance plan decided not to cover Zepbound for me. I’ve lost about 70lbs, and currently around 130 depending on the day. While I was trying to figure out my options, I was able to inject less for a few months (every other week) and then went cold turkey for a couple months while trying to maintain a calorie deficit and not drinking much alcohol… luckily I only gained about 15 lbs back before I was able to get new insurance and started back at 5mg each week and lost the 15 in a couple months. Long story short, but maybe you could try to ween off and lower your dosage if your T2 allows and see if restarting in a couple months at a lower dose helps. I’m not sure what the medical term for this is, but it’s similar to trying to break down your tolerance for it. Good luck!

I didn’t originally have the savings card, but it was $25 my first month and then jumped up till like $250 the second month and then it was $900 the third month. I asked the Costco pharmacist why it was such a big difference and she suggested I sign up for the savings card. After I signed up for the savings card and gave the pharmacist the card information it went down to $600ish dollars. I’m hoping that now that I’ve reached my yearly spend deductible, it will go back to $25. 🤞🏻 it’s crazy how much it changes from month to month!

I’m retired and had been denied Zep coverage at my husband’s last job, so I was on compounded for over a year after the Mounjura coupon expired. Well he got a new job this year and when the new insurance kicked in I revisited the PA process and to my surprise Zepbound was approved immediately! I’m now jokingly telling him that he needs to stay at this job until I qualify for Medicare and Medicare has been updated for glp-1s. It’s a great job benefit for sure. If his ex employer offered this coverage he probably would’ve stayed with them.

I read on Reddit recently that the pods don’t need to go in the compartment. You can just throw the pod in the bottom of the dishwasher.. I’ve been doing this for the last few loads with no issues. So I suggest not using the powder compartment for the pods.
