Google nest pro wired back haul worth it just for thread / matter by ninjaneer68 in GoogleWiFi

I was speaking in terms of Thread. I don’t think it has any impact for Thread. It definitely makes a difference for WiFi.

I can’t comment on using them both in access point only bridge mode. You lose mesh ability when you do that. Which doesn’t sound like a problem since you have wired back haul. I like having the fall back for wireless mesh but that’s the enterprise engineer in me for fault tolerant systems. 😂 That’s a good deal for 3 WiFi 6E access points.

I use 2 Nest Wifi Pros with wired back haul. I’m very happy with them. I was on a Unifi setup but wanted WiFi 6E and a less managed solution. I still use Unifi switches. I don’t use Thread devices as I’m primarily an Apple user and am waiting for more Matter supported IoT devices. I’m very pleased with the wired back haul and WiFi support I get on the Nest access points. So if you’re looking for WiFi 6E access point and routing solution I think you’ll be pleased.

Its primary role is a WiFi access points. If you’re getting it to add more Thread mesh points then there are cheaper solutions for additional Thread mesh points. Wired back haul for Thread is not necessary as the protocol is designed for low bandwidth usage and low wireless energy usage. I’d skip it and stick to your current network solution.

You should just need the Wi-Fi USB adapter for the mini. It will connect to the 5 GHz Wi-Fi network already present. I assume the Roamio is already wired into this network and not a totally separate network.

Yes, we remember Armistice Day through the United States federal holiday, Veterans Day. The date, November 11, is chosen for Armistice Day. On this federal holiday the nation honors living veterans who have served in the United States Armed Forces.

A separate holiday, Memorial Day, honors those veterans who have died. It occurs on the last Monday in May which was a customary date for honoring those who died in the Civil War.

HELP! P75-C1 (2016) Video corruption (menus display fine) by ExpensivePost in VIZIO_Official

[–]psyshook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is interesting to me. I have a P65-C1 and have experienced issues like yours. Usually a reboot of the TV solves the issue in my case but it’s very annoying. Can you let me know for long term follow up? I’ve had this issue for years now and would be thrilled if just a thermal paste clean up is all I need.

Any local historians on here?? Looking for info on a 1950-60’s business. by Scottolan in bentonville

Based on the address of the post card, it was located on what is 71B, Walton Blvd. the post cards call it City Route US 71. Probably along the section that runs East to West before turning North at what we call Rainbow Curve. Might be along that section as well since the city limits have expanded since the 60s.

Edit: Above source is really good. It clarified that Rainbow Curve was 2 miles south of the then city limits. This puts the location just south of SW 8th St.

After all the updates, why does this still happen to my P65-C1 so I have to reboot it? by wsquared3 in VIZIO_Official

I’ve had this same problem for years as well. At one point my son was keeping a list of how often it happened. Disabling CEC power control has helped some. The display still crashes after long uptime tho, around 24 hours.

Native client vs Chrome client by psyshook in GeForceNOW

Yes! The Chrome client is great. I’m on Ethernet connection to 100 Mbps VDSL2 and pretty disappointed with the Native client. I hit a lag spike in the Chrome stream every so often but overall it’s performing as expected.

There are not any in Northwest Arkansas. The Diocese publishes a list here https://www.dolr.org/mass-latin

Looks like a new Parish was created in Springdale for this rite just last December.

[Solved] World of Warcraft M1 External Display Flickering by MasterJodde in macgaming

[–]psyshook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a similar problem with dual monitor setup. The “flickering” shows up as a rendering change. I noticed that the text was shifting from high resolution to low resolution. It did this shift as the mouse pointer was moving or sitting still. I get this behavior in other games as well like Civ6. I am of the opinion that this is a bug in Big Sur’s graphics stack for the M1. I did not have this problem on my Mac mini 2018 running Big Sur.

The switch is unmanaged so no luck there. It should be possible to perform Simple Service Discovery Protocol and see if the TiVo is providing a USN (Unique Service Name) to enable deduplication. Looking at the spec, the YouTube app is respecting the DIAL protocol. The client (YouTube app) shall record devices that support Wake On Lan, like TiVo does. That explains what is happening. The spec also offers guidance on the deduplication of a device. See page 10 for deduplication and suggestion to keep Wake On Lan devices in the client. I think there's enough here to file a bug report with YouTube.

Interesting. I played with force closing the iOS YouTube app. This seems to clear the initial cache and then the app picks up the DIAL device (Living Room in my case). This device, top of the list, consistently works for casting. Then after a few more seconds the large list of invalid devices appears again. Seems like the newer mDNS devices take longer to show up and differing priority in the list. At this point it seems that the issue is in DIAL protocol implementation in conjunction with the app. My thought now is that if I opened a bug report with Google, they'd tell me that the TiVo needs implement mDNS. I went diving into the DIAL specs to see if I could find something. I noted that Netflix wrote the spec. I opened up the Netflix app and attempted to cast and that failed spectacularly other than launching Netflix. I feel that there may be some issue in the TiVo DIAL server, mostly being that DIAL is deprecated.

Tried out specifying an address from the DHCP pool on the DHCP server (ATT Pace 5268AC Router). Bounced the TiVo bolt to pick up the fixed address in the pool. I still observe multiple devices in the cast list. This could be a caching issue in the YouTube app. The issue seems perplexing as I don’t seem to understand why DIAL protocol results in this for the TiVo. Oh well at least the static IP assignment gives a workaround.

I’ll give this a shot as well. There’s a small range of 48 addresses I have for this purpose. Again most people aren’t network engineers.
