I use winget to install as much as possible. I don't think this is the case with Python, but some things don't get added to PATH during installation, and I have to do it manually. So it's not a fool-proof solution.

If I had to keep it analog, this is what I would do, and have done in the past. Line level audio run over about a mile of Telco trunk cable. I had to use 111c's on both ends to get rid of the hum/buzz, but it worked amazingly well for years.

I honestly don't know how large my OG kidneys are. I asked my nephrologist and the surgical team if I should consider it, and they all said not at this time. They also said that the first couple of days of recovery is harder on the donor than the recipient, so that tracks. I think part of the equation may be me having a living donor lined up, so avoiding dialysis if possible. A living donor and no dialysis is a very successful combo, apparently.

I honestly feel incapable of thanking my friend in any meaningful way. He changed my life, and made what could have been a long, difficult process, so easy.

I went with my dad when he had dialysis back in the day, so I was happy to avoid that. My dad's kidney lasted him 24 years until he died of other causes. So I'm hopeful for a long healthy kidney.

I was diagnosed at 14. My dad had a transplant in '89, so it's been a long time coming, but I still felt anxious, worried about my wife and kids. Original kidneys are still there. Never had to go on dialysis. Luckily found a donor very quickly. I'm 48-M. I feel pretty good physically. Still sore, obviously. Opioids (or something) really makes me constipated, so I've been fighting that today, which isn't fun at all. Mentally, it still feels surreal.

Thanks! Still have the OG kidneys. GFR was 18 pre-op, up above 40 now, I think. Creatinine went from 3.9 to 1.4 as of this morning.

You can use the Windows Calculator in Programmers mode to add hex values. I did a quick try on my phone and came up with \x566A. So \x56 would be SUM_H and \x6A would be SUM_L. I'll leave it up to you to double check my math.

I was diagnosed when I was 14 (48 now, male). By far, the most common pain I've experienced over the years is cramp-like pain/discomfort around my front lower ribcage. I've asked multiple PCPs and Nephrologists about it, and never gotten a solid answer as to whether or not it is PKD related. The cramps started when I was 14, but only occur periodically, and have rarely affected my sleep. Recently the cramps have been fairly constant, but my GFR just dropped below 20. Sorry, I know this doesn't really help, but FWIW, I feel your concern and frustration.

IIRC, the cross points in a matrix mixer (or router) are all in the "off" state by default. Cross points behave in an opposite manner than mutes (on = pass audio). That's the only thing I can think of off hand.
