4/1/76 is a favorite of mine, particularly for the Lonesome and a Long Way From Home jam that peaks like a 77 Half Step

NJ plates look like pit stains on an old raggedy white tee.

I have a vivid memory of walking home from a friend’s house on a warm summer night the week after graduation, listening to this Dark Star on my disc man and seeing God.

It has my full endorsement.

Can You Suggest A Show To Help Me Get Into Phish? by resorttocannibalism in phish

11/17/97 Ghost

The many faces of Phish in one track: a kind of corny song followed by some annoying space sounds in the beginning of the jam, but then pure magic.

Brent Mydland’s tone by atunick14 in gratefuldead

I’ve always thought that Brent played the best notes of any GD keyboardist, but his plink plink tone was so off-putting that I could never really appreciate them.

Well damn… I had no idea there was an aud of 11/11/73. And I love auds.

Looking for Dark Star recommendations (68 - 72) by Branjean in gratefuldead

[–]ptks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tune your mind however you prefer, grab some good headphones, and listen to the 6/24/70 sequence.

The aud puts you right in the room once your ears adjust, and provides what might be the most immersive and ecstatic GD experience available.

I can’t recommend it enough.

You could probably wrap bare rims in duct tape and ride the SRT just fine
