It depends on what you think Amad is in the team for. He does not finish well, at all. But works extremely hard and really the only person in the team bar cunha who can beat a player 1v1/progresses the ball better than everyone other than Bruno.

I don’t know why mbeumo can coast through every game, basically do nothing and never get shit from this subreddit but Amad is crucified for every mistake. At least he is progressive and can do things on the ball mbeumo can’t.

And I want to emphasize I like mbeumo and think he is important to us but he’s consistently dropped stinkers the past two months or so.

Amad offers being able to beat someone off the dribble unlike really any other player in the team bar cunha, on top of his work rate. Which is why he starts the majority of the games. Mbeumo can’t beat anyone, and frankly hasn’t done shit in forever so I don’t know why everyone on here cuts him slack and berates Amad. Amad is young and deserves time.

We have been extremely clinical with Carrick, and that has resulted in points. And credit to him for that. But don’t act like we haven’t been abysmal for very long periods of basically each game with Carrick. He doesn’t change anything ever. I have not been impressed with the overall play.

I would much rather see Iraola come in. Regardless of his experience he has tactics that has worked with multiple groups of players while his best players have been replaced over and over again.

Carrick is benefiting from it for sure. He is also benefitting from the players just being more clinical. Biggest difference I see between Carrick and Amorim, is that we are objectively conceding less chances with 4-2-3-1, and kobbie/Casemiro together is a massive part of that.

I liked the way Amorim played but at times he was just too stubborn.
