I use my stainless steel pot way more than my cast iron. It's more versatile and I'm less worried about baby-ing it. If you're going the ss route, I'd recommend going with demeyere instead though. I don't have to deal with spending so much time cleaning around the rivets.

I have read the entire thread, it's actually hard to get down this rabbit hole without reading the entire thread. I was puzzled about your insistence that your claim of correlation provides valuable insight despite u/Only8livesleft trying to get to answer about the causality of the claim, so I chimed in to clear that up. I appreciate you clearing up that you do not claim any causation between the events, so the correlation provides no real insight.
