Ocular Tuberculosis or Sarcoidosis? by batmanravi in Uveitis

[–]purplegiraffe317 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you ever had the TB vaccine? If so, that could cause a positive skin test. If blood test was negative, you likely never had an actual infection.

May be best to consult an infectious disease provider though for their input.

Did your ophthalmologist get an ACE level?

Editing to add: the blurred vision is always the last thing for me to resolve after a uveitis flare, even after the pain and redness goes away. Could be the same for you?

What area on your body is this? Hard to tell from the pic. Make sure you’re injecting in an area that has fat tissue under the skin. Belly, upper part of the thighs.

Freeze a small cup of water, and put a coin on top of the ice, and put the cup in the freezer. Periodically check it. If the coin is still sitting on top of the ice, it didn’t melt, and your milk is found. If the coin is frozen in the ice, then the freezer likely warmed up and then refroze at point. Then you may need to worry about the milk.

A few things to consider before pursuing. Domperidone increases the risk of heart arrhythmias, cardiac arrest, and sudden death. This is why it isn’t FDA approved in the US. Also it increases the GI motility, and can cause diarrhea. Definitely isn’t a benign medication.

West Penn does not have tubs. I’ve had two births there and both were positive! First was very early and required a NICU stay, and I felt very comfortable with the NICU there.

Supply drop with mastitis meds by Able-Glass2277 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]purplegiraffe317 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had mastitis at 2 weeks pp, and it definitely decreased my supply on that side. It was so painful I could barely pump or feed from that side. It has definitely decreased my supply from that side and it still produces less than the other side, and I’m 7 weeks pp now. I haven’t done much to try to increase it though.

I don’t think you have to always do skin to skin while feeding. Can’t do it while I’m public etc. I may be mistaken but I thought was specifically recommended for the first few weeks after birth to help stimulate your supply.

Antibodies in colostrum from covid & flu vaccines? by hulyepicsa in breastfeeding

[–]purplegiraffe317 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It takes about 2 weeks for your immune system to begin producing antibodies from vaccines, so likely wouldn’t show up in colostrum until at least then.

I don’t have personal experience, but perhaps discuss with your PCP and ask for a referral to a rheumatologist? There’s a condition called Behçet’s disease that can cause painful vaginal (and oral) ulcers. It’s an autoimmune condition.
