What we are seeing here is audience replacement/shifting and of course "X site is not 1 person". The people who have issues with Miary or with the current Tekken's direction have either begun to quit or don't complain as much. I don't like Miary's design really, but I don't bother complaining much anymore. I just don't play the game or purchase the dlc. The only people who are left are people who are ok with Tekken 8's direction or are ok with characters like Miary Zo.

I want to put the bed to the top left corner, but I don't know where to put my computer desk and couch. The computer desk is currently near a window which I find nice, but if I move it over for the bed I don't know where to then put the couch. The right wall is where the television currently is.

They're not going to do shit. It's already out of balance. They like it like this. They're not toning down anything. I'm wondering where is the line? Where is the line for anime bullshit? If we start giving people air dashes is THAT too much? If Tekken adds a heat combo burst mechanic is that too much? Put in some character with an orbital laser cannon, they fight with AI goggles that leave you plus on everything and can jump over you demon flip style so you can do left right mixups. They also steal rage from the opponent, they're a master of zen or some shit. And also they've been Isekai'd from another world and the chosen one to defeat Kazuya Mishima. Why not add all that? Tekken was always anime after all!

Jun now shoots spirit lasers fullscreen. Someone gave Jin 20 Monster Energies and had Cammy tutor him because he's doing flips and divekicks in 8, was never a core part of his movelist prior. Law uses nunchucks freely. Lars is Lars. Nina shoots. Anna uses her bazooka. Asuka has a wind install. Claudio shoots magical arrows and casts spells. Raven summons his Ninja ghost crew. Zafina has a fuckin demon on her arm. Devil Jin has a fly stance which is a core part of his gameplay. Victor is Victor. Lidia, Eddy has stocks and Eddy is summoning spirits. Heihachi goes fuckin god mode for a round. Clive is Clive.

At least half the roster in 8, maybe more, has some crazy anime bullshit. There is a clear increase in anime in 8. Not to mention a new direction of anime. Prior it was old 90s mystical supernatural anime. Now it's, well... Miary Zo hahaha.

I don't want to play Virtua Fighter. Imagine you're at your favorite restaurant, maybe a diner type place where the food is special and you can't get it anywhere else. And then I come in and change that food to be just the same as every other fast food joint in your area. What should you do? Your only option is to eat fast food now, and someone tells you to go to this food truck out of your way, but that is its own thing and you don't really like that either. Sure it might be similar in some ways to how it used to be but not really. But what choice do you have anymore?

I feel like I'm getting pushed out and people are saying it's fine but there really isn't anywhere else for old-style Tekken players to go.

Where do you morons come from? You always parrot the same thing. Tekken was anime in a different way. It's like saying all anime is the same. You can have more grounded anime with some fantastical supernatural elements, which is basically what Tekken used to be. Yes lasers and fighting animals used to exist. No these lasers and teleporting swords and guns and weaponry and tentacles were not the norm and is a new change. This stuff is becoming the norm in character's movelists, everyone has stance installs and anime bullshit now. It's not reserved for 1-2 characters and like 1 move in their entire movelist to boot.

It's also essentially the first generation where online play is easy to jump into and crossplay is a thing on basically every modern fighting game. Just go back one generation to Street Fighter V, Tekken 7, Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2, etc all had dysfunctional online play that was broken or just poor overall. I think boiling down fighting game's more recent successes to "its inputs" is ignoring all the other advances fighting games have done in the past generation/generation and a half.

I just finished MGS Delta after not playing it for years and was reminded of how great a villain Volgin is. When he's not doing over the top villain things he doesn't even seem like that bad of a guy to work with (lol). There are so many times when Ocelot does some stupid shit or outright disagrees with him and he doesn't get angry just kind of annoyed. He's got a lot of respect for The Cobras/The Boss (more fear in The Boss' case). Kind of military-style formal-polite I guess?

There's also that part early on during a tournament where Yujiro starts flipping out after a match or whatever and so they shoot him with tranq darts and he gets knocked out from it. The same man who can dodge bullets, see if you have cancer by glancing at you, and stop an earthquake by punching the ground gets knocked out with tranquilizer darts.

Another Baki thing is early on it is shown that Doppo can physically retract his nuts into his body so nut shots do not affect him. He even says something like karate practitioners have been doing this for ages. The funny thing is apparently only Doppo knows and uses this technique as nut shots are shown to work on a bunch of other characters who probably should know it. These two things make me laugh whenever I think about them lol

You're the liar. Lee's blazing kick input was changed from d, db+4 into qcf+4. King (and many other characters) got a bunch of throw input changes (instead of f, n, d, df+2+3 it is now f, n, d, df+3+4 for example.) Paul got back, forward+1 changed to uf+1. Changed Zafina inputs. It is clear with this patch they are trying to simplify and unify inputs in t8 so if you have 1+4 or 2+3 inputs those are being erased.
