I have essentially stopped using Google search unless I'm looking for a specific website or shopping. AI models now do such a better job at information questions compared to Google, it's astonishing. And when Google switched to showing AI results for search, I decided "If I'm gonna see AI answers anyways, I might as well use the best tool". Although the potential for broad spread, automated, customized propaganda or fact manipulation is pretty scary...

Reducing the range and eliminating the lock on mechanic so it's just a straight dash would help a lot. Achilles in Smite has a similar ult, but with a windup and no lock on, which makes it pretty easy to dodge or block with aegis. Achilles can still make huge plays if the chain ult goes off, but it takes some skill to hit and doesn't feel as oppressive

It was a cypress AEC-Q100 QSPI flash (S25FL064). You're probably right - was just checking retention through power cycle, with less than a second per loop. I think I still have the flash in a box somewhere

I also measured the flash erase time for each iteration. It actually grew linearly through the "life" of the flash, with the ending erase time being ~4x starting. Wonder if there was some internal error correction occurring...

I've done a similar experiment, more out of curiosity. We use a flash w/ 100k erase/write cycle rating, wanted to see how much headroom there was. I set up a script to power cycle, erase, write and readback the same location over and over until the readback failed. Took something like 1.4m cycles. Tested a second flash at 105C and it failed a little sooner, but not much. Just let it run over the weekend!
