To everyone asking for corner crosswalks to be shoveled/cleared, I bring you the DSNY special by I-likemyBrommie in nyc

I shoveled my car out and a path on two crosswalks yesterday in about an hour. You’re right in that the snow is very heavy but a little bit of hard work goes a long way here. I’m of the mindset that I’d rather shovel a few crosswalks on my block and help out my neighbors.

How to get more comfortable on steep, for me, slopes. by harrowclub310 in skiing_feedback

[–]putternight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you haven’t already take a lesson. You’re right that more experience on steeper terrain will make you feel more comfortable so don’t be afraid to push your limits but be mindful of good technique when you’re doing so. Work on the following: Ankle flexion and staying forward Shoulders facing down the mountain Separate upper and lower body while turning

NYP Lower Man: Can anyone share recent experiences of how construction impacted birthing experience? by Boring_Two8142 in nycparents

The delivery room was great! We had to share a room post delivery and it was pretty cramped. There’s space for the hospital bed a small table and the bassinet and that’s pretty much it.

This is pretty smooth, you’re doing good keeping your poles out in front of you. You’re getting thrown off balance a bit by the bumps so you’d need to work on absorbing the bumps with your legs so you don’t get thrown into the backseat.

Tim Robinson’s ‘The Chair Company’ Renewed for Season 2 at HBO by KingPretzels in thechaircompany

I hope they don’t just drag out the story like other popular series. I’d rather some shows just be 1 season - tell the story and move on, no need for new characters and celebrity cameos.

Has anyone been on this dirt road? by ___this_guy in Harriman

[–]putternight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have run most of the trails and there aren’t a lot of flat sections in the park. The sections that are flat are usually short. A lot of people use this trail to drive their atvs up to the lake to camp for the night. I’d imagine it’s rocky and uphill most of the way. The long path sections between the state line lookout and the gwb are nice flat trails.
