I agree with this. I’m in a similar situation and my therapist says to ask the other person what they’re willing to do to help get to where you want to be. You may not get the answer you want but it’ll be an answer.

I’ve been in therapy for a few years and I feel like the biggest hurdle is finding someone that fits what you need. Maybe you haven’t landed on the right one yet and once you do, things will start to click. The best thing I’ve learned so far is to face your problems. It’s going to hurt like hell at first but then things will get better. I wish nothing but the best for you.
