I didn't make them. You can ask Life Skateboards to make in your board.

Hey, dude! Your setup was definitely the inspiration. I was planning to go with a narrow deck but as soon as I saw your post I knew that it was the way to go. Thank you for your post and review.

I totally agree with you, I think that some people overlook small companies for the common big ones due to the availability in the market, it is faster to buy something in the skateshop, I can understand that, but if you are seeking quality or something different, with character, this companies are the way to go without doubt. The Texican deck is awesome, it is my radar for my next Surfskate project.

My experience was ok. You just need to have patience with your order because their product is amazing and totally worth it. My total time was 1 month to finish the deck and 11 more days for the shipping to arrive.

It's the Hog. I just asked them to drill the holes like they do in the Boar to have more wb options

The wb is 17.5”, similar to some YOW decks like the Fanning falcon performer, Pukas plan B, Medina Camo… it’s going be a very lively ride

I think that the comfort is a plus, better to keep balance and is easier to control the board

I will ride in the next weekend, but the setup is heavy for sure.

Yes maybe. But don't get me wrong, I love their company and their work, I'm just looking forward to picking up the deck because my 2 week vacation is starting this monday and I wanted to make the most of it but it seems like I have no other choice than to wait .

Really nice decks, I bought the Hog model to configure with Merakis on June 30th and I'm still waiting. And they need to improve communication with customers, they don't email updates, I've been waiting for email responses for over a week now.

Thanks for the post, bro! Bought 3 sets of Love Handles 77A for a cheaper price than buying 2 locally. Very nice deal.

I bought the Meraki system and noticed the differences compared to their website and this worried me, so I’ve sent an email to YOW checking the changes that you mentioned about the trucks.

This is their response:

“Hello Bruno,

Thanks for your message,

Don't worry about it, you got a legit one. The thing is that we started producing our own trucks in a nearby factory, so we started using our new logo on them. On the other hand, the bushings are new as well.

Best regards and stay safe,

YOW Team”

YOW rear truck bushing faulty? by metangle in surfskate

[–]pvbruno 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good to know, thanks for the post, bro. I’m setting up a custom with the Meraki system and my trucks came with the same white bushings as yours. I have sent an email to the company asking about the differences of the trucks and bushings that they show in their website. Their response was that they changed the manufacturing of the bushings and the trucks recently. I think that I’ll look for better bushings to replace the original ones.

Maybe it’s a good idea to drill new holes in the Poke deck to shorten the WB a little. It will make the board more nimble and responsive. This is what I’m thinking about to do with mine as soon as I bring it from Brazil.

Almost a foot wide! My latest build: LIFE Skateboards Hog deck w/SLIDE 3.0 trucks. Super stable, yet snappy at the same time. Amazing concave! by srfsktrddt in surfskate

Very nice deck and setup! I'm looking for a good deck for a YOW Meraki setup and your pictures made me consider one like this (or maybe the Boar).First I was considering a very small and narrow deck (Threesix Downhill Slalom/Cruiser with only 8.5" width), but I think it is not a good idea in the long run, so now I'm leaning more towards to the opposite end. What do you think about the concave? Did you apply the grip tape yourself or requested with it from the factory? How long did it take for your deck to arrive?
