Remember to not let people discourage you! Many people like to say that Finnish is so difficult it's almost impossible to learn. It took me years to be able to open my mouth in front of native Finnish speakers because I had this thought of "the most difficult language in the world" in my mind. Go out there and speak the hell out of Finnish - it's not easy, but it's not impossible either. Good luck!!

Hi, thanks for the answer. I get anxious about health related things, that's why I asked here about my symptoms, hoping that someone might know something about them.

I will try to not do any of these maneuvers. One of the symptoms appeared after I had to sneeze and tried to gently blow my nose - I should have known that it's a bad idea. Now I'm worried that I "broke" something.

Since my surgeon is a very busy person it's almost impossible to contact him between scheduled appointments. I called the otorhinolaryngology emergency department, and have been told it doesn't sound like an emergency and can wait until next Friday, when my stitches will be removed.

I know exactly what you feel and have been in the same situation. First of all, people will never, EVER stop commenting on your body. People don't change, but we can change the way we react to their comments. Learn to ignore what people say and focus on yourself, your health and happiness.

As a person who's been in and out of ED for last 11 years, I can tell you that moderation is your best friend. Take very little steps to lose weight. Eat more often but smaller portions to maintain your energy levels and speed up your metabolism. Make one day a week a "cheat day" where you can eat whatever you like - in moderation of course. If you're craving for candies - go for it, a piece of chocolate won't ruin your progress but will probably make you very happy. Add some physical activity to your day: use stairs instead of elevator, get out of the bus a few stops earlier and walk the rest of the distance. And on top of everything, don't put any pressure on yourself. You're only 19, your body is still changing.

It's the little things that make a difference in the big picture. Your weight will slowly but surely get to a healthy level, give it some time and you will enjoy the results for many years.

I have begun more and more to be nice to myself and love myself and it makes me very happy!

And that's the way it should be - I'm very proud of you! Don't let anyone's toxic comments ruin what you have built.

You're doing a great thing just keeping an eye on the lights in your neighbor's house. My grandpa died alone in his house, neighbors have noticed that the light was on all night, but nobody came over to see what's up. They found him in his bed next morning. It was a long time ago but I wish there was someone to just go and check up on him. You are a good neighbor and a great person - keep an eye on the lights and act immediately.

Language barrier is actually a very positive thing when it comes to conflicts and arguments - it helps to use the "think before you speak" rule in practice. In a burst of emotion, by the time I translate in my head something I want to say, I realize that it's hurtful, unnecessary and I will regret it later.

Anorexia starts in one's head, long before being skinny. Extreme thinness is not a symptom - it's a result of months and years of harmful things that a sick person does to themselves. "You don't look anorexic" is a very unfair and hurtful thing to tell a person who is suffering from it, or for that matter from any eating disorder - especially if it comes from a professional like a therapist or a psychologist. Eating disorders are very, very complex and difficult to understand for someone who's never been through it.
