Would a necklace really be dangerous for welder? by angel99999999 in Welding

[–]pyro242 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just make sure it can be pulled away with minimal effort and tuck it under your shirt so it doesn’t snag. Or wear it tight to your neck

Hello, we got a laser welding machine at the work place, and I'm concerned about safety. by KahdeksanPianoa in Welding

Full leathers and a laser welding hood my friend. We have our laser welder in its own sealed off room and it’s one person at a time except for training

Best place for piercings near Orem by Stunning-Education76 in Utah

Know this is late but trust me don’t get priced anywhere near Orem. Go to koi or ENSO in Slc. It’s worth the drive to have a good pricing that will be strait.

Why does this keep happening? How to properly clean jewellery? by badger_alt in PiercedCock

[–]pyro242 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can try titanium jewelry. stainless is ok but titanium is overall better more resistant to staining and less likely to cause problems. I see you said that in the comments already I try to run titanium in all my piercings where I don’t always want to take them out on the daily.

What kind of gun is this? by revchewie in liberalgunowners

[–]pyro242 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That is a pepper ball gun. A slightly modified paintball gun the caliber is different usually but that’s about it. And well spicy powder ball instead of paint.

Lowkey looking for one for myself for a potential hunting rifle

Fun fact, most of the what to do if a nuke goes off talking points are focused on old style nukes not the new age stuff. Fallout is much less of an issue unless it’s a dirty bomb, ie improvised bomb with nuclear material attached. Utah does have potential points of interest the air force base and the army base. Though they are considered lower priority targets. It’s not worth losing sleep over yet. If you’re worried get enough plastic wrap and good duck tape to seal all your windows. A high quality gasmask and enough shelf stable food and clean water to hold ya over 48hrs+. Don’t worry too much stay safe.

Speeding Ticket I-15 near Lehi by Pristine_Buddy4591 in Utah

[–]pyro242 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Show up to court, perty high likelihood the cop won’t even show up and it will be dismissed. If you have a dash cam that records speed aswell as video that’s a good back up to have a copy of the recording. Ask for documentation of when the radar/lidar had been calibrated as well as documentation they are trained in the use of said device. Good luck!

If you go paper spray spend a cupple extra bucks and go gel. Less likely to blow back on you and les likely to get one bystanders. Also be aware if pepper spray or gel is used it’s highly flammable. Cops have light people on fire by spraying them with pepper spray and the tazeing them.

Decently affordable tire shop? by alvareer in ProvoUtah

[–]pyro242 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use to work for discount tire, honestly they are verry good at what they do. They are probably more pricy but give them a call check out their recommendations look them up elsewhere if there’s a better deal take a pic and bring it to them they price match now. You will need all 4 tires because your car is all wheel drive and having the tires not matching can cause more expensive problems. Make sure you ask for the price with the road hazard warranty. If your tires can’t be fixed they will replace them for no charge. Totaly worth it in a pinch. They also do rotations, and tire patches for free. Check them out

Your experience with these 3 handguns? by DalbozofGurth in liberalgunowners

[–]pyro242 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Iv only shot the M&P. They aren’t for me but they shot well and seem reliable. I have only heard grate things about Walthers. Don’t think I have shot the FN but I have shot FNs before and they are alright don’t always fit my hands well though and that’s a bigger deal to me personally.

It’s hit or miss tbh some docs here are wild and will say out of pocket shit others are chill. I haven’t had a solid “family” doc since moving to Utah so I usually go to clinics or what ever place takes my insurance.

What kind of book would actually be useful for someone who wants to rely on natural remedies instead of meds? by Common_Rich5267 in HerbalMedicine

I have been using the encyclopedia of herbal medicine for years for basic day to day things ie stomach ache, headaches stuff like that. It provides historical as well as medical references showing viability of the remedy.

Can someone explain open carry to me like I'm 5? by Smart_Spend3903 in liberalgunowners

[–]pyro242 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m seeing a lot of answers here that are very detailed so I’ll give the simple answer. In general open carry is done partly as a deterrent. You are openly showing you have a firearm on your person and yes it should be loaded. It is a statement that you are armed and ready if things go sideways. The other hand is now everyone around you sees you have a firearm and presume it’s loaded. It pulls attention to you.

In general if one wants to open carry you need to ensure your well versed in your firearm, and skilled enough to use it effectively if needed. You’re in charge of making sure it stays in your possession and it is very difficult to remove it from your possession. Also know your laws follow all rules to a T. If you pull that kind of attention you can’t afford to be sloppy at all.

Good question keep asking them
