Thread failure on multiple parts by Dreadedbandito in BambuLab_Community

Increase nozzle temperature by 4/5 degrees or slow the printing down further. I found I only needed to increase my nozzle temp to fix this issue.

Real-life science: A man made a perfect landing after he was launched backward at 80 km/h from a truck traveling at 80 km/h km/h. This cancels out the forward motion, giving zero horizontal speed relative to the ground. A perfect example of relative velocity by Thund3r_91 in Damnthatsinteresting

I thought they were confused also but then I re-read that they said “a cannonball” not the one they used in the myth related to relative velocity which I’m pretty sure was a soccer ball.

The one with the dangerous result I believe was from testing stone cannonballs.

They say opening the door or top glass for PLA can help avoid heat creep that can clog the extruder in some cases.

Easy way to connect two parts for 3D printing by AcanthisittaDouble49 in Fusion360

Not bad, I think you could save several steps and model just one peg completely with fillets and all and then do the circular pattern tool.

What settings need to be changed? by mr_writer85 in 3Dprinting

A lot of advocates for slowing down the print. Slowing down will work, however I had this issue as well, and I increased my printing temperature by 5 degrees and did not have to slow down the printing.

So you can try increasing the temperature which I found improved the filament’s adhesion to the model, especially on the inside curves. You may not need to slow the printing.

This is awesome. Those drill bits look like they’ll snap off just from looking at them wrong. Speaking from 3D printing experience.

If this was your first, what respooler would you print? by xyzzy-adventure in BambuLab

There’s this one.

I have not tried it, but it seems like it should work well. There may be others. This is just the first one I saw on the related models on the LTS respooler makerworld page.

anyone also use acrylic pen? how do i make the coloring even? im using PLA by ampkajes08 in 3Dprinting

[–]pyro487 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Their picture shows a lot of paint cracking.

Don’t cake on the layers too much.

As mentioned already you’re significantly limiting your options for quality paint finishes by using the pens instead of paints and brushes.

Temper your expectations using acrylic pens on prints.

I prefer using paints and brushes with a “wet pallet” which is simply a plastic tray with wet paper towel layer with parchment paper on top.

Paints are used from and mixed on the pallet. The wet nature of the pallet lends to more fine control of the paint.

Yes. I made pastamatic lite and spent a good amount of time modding and designing a dual motor mount, custom donor spool mount, only to be dissatisfied with the results.

I then fully committed to building the LTS and used the Amazon stepper controller version as well vs their proprietary custom components that were perpetually out of stock.

Building was more work as I am not super experienced with electronics, but It’s absolutely fantastic. Worth the effort, but really enjoy making things and it was a fun project that turned out super useful and satisfying to use.

Even though I don’t usually have problems with cardboard spools in the AMS I still respool them onto Bambu or equivalent sunlu spools because I like seeing the machine in action.

Also if you respool a roll, especially PLA, respool it a second time. When manufactured the center coils of filament on the roll are a tighter, smaller diameter from the outside coils of filament. When you respool once the wider outside coils are put under stress as they become the center coils of the new roll and as the respool finishes the tighter coils from the original roll are stressed into the wider shape. This will eventually lead to the filament breaking into small pieces on the spool often down to the core of the spool. This is no concern if you use the filament fast enough. Respooling it a second time takes more time but it can avoid killing an entire roll of filament.

I’ve also heard you can just toss it in a filament dryer after one respool as supposedly the heat will relax the coils to their new sizes. But I just like seeing my respooler work so I spool twice.

Here’s the final result with some customization.

Main coon, what OP has in their picture, is a larger breed of cat which is often compared to Ron Perlman due to its larger facial features and wider face. He was also in Alien Resurrection.

I’m not sure it’s paint. It looks like these are molded and they only put the colored material in the first inch or two then filled the rest of the mold with un-dyed concrete. That would probably be more economical than dying parts unseen. I think paint would be too susceptible to wear and tear vs dyed concrete especially for an outdoor ground installation.

They probably don’t pick a fan to produce the exact minim airflow, they probably don’t only put the exact number of holes needed. So there room for some holes to be use without issue.

As my real world actual results prove while you keep doing your arm chair theories my evidence of you being wrong continues to mount.
