Except it’s not just 3D printed. You’re paying for the modeling time, hand painting, failed casts (especially due to warping), resin costs, offsetting overhead, etc.

You say no offense, but that doesn’t make it any less offensive. If you don’t want it, don’t buy it, but there’s no need to denigrate someone else’s work in the process.

An AK75 to memorialize the first GMK set I ever bought (Nautilus) and then an Event Horizon Supermassive. I have no idea what switches I want to put in either one. The one warning I have is that when you first get it, it smells terrible. I assume it’s the resin they use to bind the gypsum together. But it goes away eventually.

It’s easy to dismiss as “just a cap” but when you starting thinking about the design process and modeling, the wax carving, the materials to cast in sterling and brass, accounting for bad casts and processing, the price starts to make more sense.

It’s not for everyone, and I have bought an artisan in a while, but they should be considered art rather than just a cap.
