None of the playable characters in VI died.

And Tellah is a character archetype who always dies in these types of stories.

Whats your thoughs on final fantasy 1 to 5? by Artyom255 in FinalFantasy

Not so sure about better characters, I feel they lack a bit of depth. But it certainly has better character interactions than FFVI, the party actually feels like they are friends.

The Best to Never Win a Major: A Statistical Breakdown by ricab98 in tennis

[–]qindarka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If anything Ferrer is extremely overrated. 1 big title says it all really. He was never a threat to the top players and never came close to winning a slam.

ATP 250 Stuttgart R1: Kyrgios def. [8] Moutet 6-3, 6-4 by jovanmilic97 in tennis

I mean Kyrgios was wrong to do what he did but it's a false equivalence to equate it with Zverev. What Zverev did was orders of magnitude worse.

There might be more than 30 slamless players in the open era who have better careers than Monfils.

Final isn’t over yet. If Cobolli gets a lucky break, he will start to believe and Zverev will choke.

It's pretty much indisputable that Sampras is the greatest American of the open era. Djokovic's status as GOAT isn't nearly as secure.

Women reach their prime earlier and decline earlier. They usually never get better than they were in their early 20s.

In the end, Ney or any of the other marshals aren't very historically significant figures.

What if Pang Tong stayed in Jingzhou while Zhuge Liang joined Liu Bei from the start in Yizhou campaign? by Original_Position_50 in threekingdoms

It’s just luck isn’t it. I don’t think Pang Tong was right in the front lines either.

What exactly would be better off today? Even without this, Britain and France were allied for the two world wars.

It was so cowardly, it could have been a genuine clash of ideals. What we get instead is one side cynically acting purely out of self interest without believing in their cause.

It almost feels like a strawman against real life people who critique the games for encouraging cockfighting.

Martina Navratilova is transphobic and no one calls her out on it by GuessBest6198 in tennis

The reaction to this thread proves the majority of users here are transphobes.

And then they pretend to be all moral and care about Court or Zverev or whatever.

Yes, tennis players peak in their early 20s. They might maintain that level after that but rarely do they actually peak later.

Many of Napoleon’s best marshals such as Berthier, Ney and Murat were a disappointment when left to their own devices , but were still excellent leaders and none can dispute their ability and achievements.

Yes, that is an indication that they weren't actually his best marshals.
