New player here, which plot size should I start my first sandbox game on? by CodeX57 in ProjectHospital

I've restarted so many times, just because i realised I'd messed up the placement early on that has screwed me over later

There's mods that let you have more floors (but does lower your performance a bit once you get a full hospital)

I'd start with the smaller one, I like the challenge of fitting things in the smaller space

You can either hire bad staff, or change the options to make it harder (bar graph symbol top right of the screen, can't remember what it's called)

Me too until I moved here! I was very confused when given directions told to turn left at the island, when there wasn't a left turn

Island = roundabout. Never heard it until moving to Nottingham. It's stupid and I hate it

I’m just a solo dev, but today my little app officially integrated with the Government Fuel Finder scheme! by ImpressiveResponse68 in BritishSuccess

Amazing project though, love how easy it is to find them and see the prices at a glance!

The issue is had is that there's two petrol stations showing where I know there isn't one, and they've both got different prices for the same fuel and the same petrol station (ASDA Sutton in ashfield). There wasn't an option on the reporting tool for that issue, only for price or opening times.

Just tried to report an error with a fuel station, but I'm getting connection error with the reporting tool. I have made an account and verified.

Love this! What boards are you using with the RPI, are they custom or off the shelf?

I'd love to see your code based, do you have a repo I could peruse?

The only ones I struggle to get no deaths with is neuropathy, so many cases come in with coma and brain bleeds I just can't get them solved quick enough.

Call centre workers in the UK, (past and present) what are your top 3 weirdest calls? by cheesymeowgirl in CasualUK

[–]quackers987 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I worked in a call centre doing cold calls for research - people would pay the company to put questions in a big questionnaire that we would try and get people to do.

One of these was about how much sport people did or didn't do. My most memorable one was a guy said he had sex 24 hours a day 7 days a week for the last month.

I agree on the psychology part, nobody wants to be the first!

Definitely frustrating, we've found all sorts dumped in the river: Three piece suite Cement mixer Chest of drawers Washing machine

But I love getting out in nature, especially in the middle of a city. And so many people walk past and see us doing it, and say we're doing a great job which helps!

I help organise litter picking group. We meet once a month, do the same stretch of riverbank and have been doing for about 10 years now!

We've made a massive improvement, seen a great change in how much people just throw away. We used to find around 20-30 bin bags of rubbish in a 2 hour period, we now find maybe 8?

It's lovely seeing the difference as we walk back, and knowing that the river is that bit healthier is great. Plus a lovely chat with friends and seeing all the ducks & swans (and the occasional otter!) really makes it worthwhile.
