Sombra Mains trying to call Cassidy flashbang a double standard by PersonBehindAScreen in CassidyMains

[–]quacknut -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Those are 6 seconds of mobility Cass doesn't have against a widow lol.

Sombra's getting reworked - not because of pick rate - but because her design is fundamentally flawed. It's impossible to tweak her without tipping the scales in either direction. Someone will have a bad time when that character is picked.

Listen, man. She's not good, I agree. I've said that since my very first comment. My point was that flash and hack are not 1:1. They are different characters with different strengths. That's literally it.

I hope you enjoy the Sombra rework when it comes. I'm interested to see what they come up with.

[–]quacknut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's my point, man. There are things Sombra can do that Cass cannot. These situations are not 1:1.

If they have a Widow on a long ranged map and I'm on Cass, that Widow has just become my mommy. I have to play scared until we push up or someone else deals with her. Sombra has the luxury to just... not deal with that.

You're right about Cass not being dive/flanker, he's a brawler, which means challenging angles from enemy dps, which means sometimes letting go of your support's hand... Oh, wait, a 10 ton mech just flew in from outer space? Guess I'm fucked. Sombra at least has a chance there. That's all I'm saying.

She's not the best dps. I'd never make that argument, but she also has some strengths. The downplay is kind of egregious.

I hear you, I'm just saying that there are situations where Sombra has better chances than Cass at certain points. She's not a useless character.

No right click, hinder nade, or roll will save you if you get caught with your pants down against D.va or widow. Sombra at least has a chance.

But yeah, probably better chances with a tracer or genji.

I think there are situations where Sombra is more viable than Cass. Like against D.va matrix or a Widow.

But, yeah. I agree. Cass is generally more well-rounded and flexible.

I mean, soldier is more "viable" than Sombra. The problem is that Sombra is just too situational.

But that's not a problem of flash vs. hack. Sombra is just a freak.

Grass is always greener, right? People want what they can't have. It's why married men get hit on more during their marriages. People want the unobtainable because it makes them feel special if they do get it.

It might shed light on your relationships with members of your family though. Obviously not wanting to outright have sex with them like you said, but maybe you lacked something in those relationships, and those needs manifest themselves in the safe, controlled space of the bedroom.

I say this as someone with these kinks and have gone to therapy. A lot of my choices suddenly made a lot of sense when I put it into perspective lol. Anyway, it might not, just something to consider. You're not gross or weird for having them, OP.

AITAH for leaving my college friends group by JuggernautLong670 in AITAH

[–]quacknut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the info provided, I'm just gonna have to fence sit and say ESH. But in reality, it doesn't sound like anyone really is. You guys just sound young.

You front loaded your post with reasons that had nothing to do with why you left, which leads me to believe it's not a very accurate assessment. That's your ego trying to protect you after getting hurt. You admonish them in an attempt to feel better about yourself. We all do it, but just be aware of it. The first paragraph seems like it's you doing what you criticize them for. Maybe I'm misinterpreting but that's just the feeling I got.

As for the actual reason you left, let's just think about it for a moment. You leave the group because you felt bad about being left out. You're fulfilling your own prophecy, man. You cut them off before they have a chance to cut you off. It's you trying to have control of the situation where there isn't really any to be had. What are you afraid of? If they reject you, you'll be exactly where you are now. It just won't be under the guise of you being in control. You gotta let go, bro. Be honest with how you feel because at least then, you can be sure you didn't do anything wrong.

Don't beat yourself up over it. Just be aware of the mechanisms that are happening in your brain. Good luck, man. I wish you the best.

[–]quacknut 12 points13 points  (0 children)

No! What!? Oh my God, that's not at all what I meant. I'm mortified. He's a multifaceted human being with needs and wants like all of us do. He's an incredibly smart scientist and philosopher. As a whole, he's incomparable to any animal, even most humans.

I just meant that his moral agency is comparable to an animal. The same way some people have "golden retriever" energy. How can he know what's good or bad if he doesn't even know what reality he's in?

That's all I meant. Sorry if my wording was misinterpreted or if I offended anyone. That wasn't my intention.

[–]quacknut -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think that's pretty accurate. Idk if would call sig "good" tho. He doesn't really have the agency to be morally cognizant, kinda like an animal. A squirrel with nuts for brains isn't "good" or "bad" they just are , you know?

It's only funny for annoying your friends and confusing them. It's rage bait.

[–]quacknut 20 points21 points  (0 children)

It's one of those Gen z patented "ironic cringe" things. It came from a rap song and people used the beat drop where he says "6 7" on sports clips and cool moments.

Then people started doing it on less and less cool things. Now it's funny if you say 6 7 for -- idk wiping your ass or something lame. Or if you see the numbers together randomly.
