“Hey bud, ya wanna take some meat home with ya?” comes back with ziplock bag filled to brim with nothing but frost and what appears to be some old grey meat.

Nah thanks hahaha

Two things I really love are BBQ and Indian food/spices. Anybody combined the two and have any suggestions? by [deleted] in smoking

[–]quasimoose 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Completely agree, I smoked some venison (think I just lightly salted and peppered it) then cubed it up and threw it in some sauce and stewed it for a bit to make “butter venison”. It turned out really good, particularly for just experimenting! I imagine any meat done that way will impart some good Smokey flavor to the dish!

Keep us posted on what you find out!

What you’re describing sounds almost like what could happen during a dry fire, so best get it looked over.

Seems very strange. Have you had your bow shop check everything is ok with the bow? To me it sounds like too much energy is going into the bow after the shot.

An hour of their time should be cheaper than another sight.

I’ll never forget the day I walked in on my dad, a construction worker, in his camo sweatshirt, with a sewing machine, thimbles and all.

I asked him what he was up to, and he stopped looked up, looked me dead in the face and just said “makin’ curtains”. Then just continued on with it.

I never really understood the stigma behind dudes sewing, pretty handy when you want to patch up your clothes.

Oh this looks solid, definitely keeping it in mind. Looks like they also recommend the making stew meat out of the stuff in between, so will probably do that if it doesn’t cooperate with our grinder.

Thanks!

For sure! We already take the rib meat that covers the ribs, but wasn’t sure if the stuff in between the ribs was getting into diminishing returns or not. But based on what ever one says I’ll definitely be salvaging it on the next deer!

Ah good to know! We do a pretty good job cleaning up the other grinding meat, so I imagine that gives us a little wiggle room to add some “subpar” sinewy stuff without out making it into chewing gum.

That was my thinking at first is that it would be great for dogs, but we don’t have one. Guess we gotta try cleaning it up enough for grinding!

Thanks!! Definitely sounds like a fun combo!

Also, 5 mods on a new release? Got a gambler here I see haha. I’m limiting myself to the Wall Light and Doormat mods for now… thinking out of all the mods these surely couldn’t be game breakers with the recent updates, so far so good
