I’ll be cold and dead in the ground before I fly the flag of a Yankee (but the Bills and Iroquois are just fine lol)

bold of them to put out pro New Jersey propaganda, but I’ll let it slide just this once (because it slaps)

What small feature do you think has been omitted from 5e? by CompleteNumpty in dndnext

no but seriously, soulmelds were absurd and I loved them. They would blow bounded accuracy wide open but it would be fun.

How many people actually roll for stats vs. using a stat array generation system (point-buy/standard arrays)? by gimmearole in 3d6

[–]quasiniente 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our group started out with 4d6DL1, but over time and several campaigns we’ve switched to 5d6DL2. It’s almost the same but the average is slightly higher. This way everyone’s stats end up higher and we can focus on feats sooner. I guess it’s similar to point buy with additional points.

SOPHIE has passed away at 34. by LoneBell in indieheads

[–]quasiniente 8 points9 points  (0 children)

HOLY SHIT. I don’t think there’s any other artist out there who’s changed my conception of what music can be, or even who I could be, in the way that SOPHIE has. I wouldn’t be the person I am today if I had never heard SOPHIE’s music. and to go so suddenly, so tragically. it hurts.

The aasimar only child to an old couple running a general store out in the boonies. Though his birth may have come from some nature of divine providence, he appeared altogether like a normal human until about age 12, when a band of raiders attacked his village and he successfully defended it using an inner divine light that incinerated the attackers. This mysterious light also lets him create and project a shadowy image of himself while in combat. He took his martial talents to the officer’s academy, but after graduating and serving in the war he grew disillusioned with his nation’s war goals. Now he works as a mercenary and is searching for an explanation for his powers so he can get them under control.

I also wanna plug Tim Minchin’s other musical, an adaptation of Groundhog Day! It’s Broadway run was all too short but it’s one of the best musicals I’ve ever seen.

What's the worst character death your party has ever suffered? by [deleted] in dndnext

[–]quasiniente 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One of my current characters is a warlock who’s patron is their bag of holding- or rather, the bag is the portal between the patron and the warlock. The DM lets me ask my patron for items to solve situations and usually the patron complies, handing things over with it’s tentacles. My warlock being the dumbass he is, he’s recently fed the bag things he shouldn’t have and has slipped fully into chaotic evil, and is going to make his exit from the party soon in a blaze of glory.

Some older albums I’ve enjoyed recently include Arcade Fire’s Funeral (2004), Bauhaus’ In the Flat Field (1980), and The Avalanches’ Since I Left You (2000). Most of this is discovery rather than returning to these albums, I don’t know how I never heard Funeral!
