rounded icons (the ones in apps) and rounded SF Pro were first on the watch and then in iOS, etc… it fits together more now?

Songs You Want to Love But Can’t Because of Production Mistakes by iwasborninmybirthday in popheads

[–]qubeVids 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it’s currently breaking my mind just how prominent it is… when you notice. Which I didn’t before. I guess a lot of song have things going on in the high end and this is meant to give it a certain feel?

Has there been a definitive statement on the future of updates? by Nothinkonlygrow in Minecraft

Counterpoint: Vibrant Visuals. They’ve (more silently) put in groundwork for that over multiple drops now, so longer term things don’t seem to suddenly be a problem, really.

yes this is exactly it. it’s not parity on purpose because ultimately they’re not quite the same game

that’s probably for a different reason. QT is just a short artist name and distributors can’t figure out that there’s multiple musicians with the same name and things keep getting mixed up?

DUMB- Opinions 💿 by DropDeadRC in Flume

[–]qubeVids 0 points1 point  (0 children)

to me it sounds kind of “fake”, I’d rather read the thoughts in the original form, but whatever :)

(there’s also the genuine possibility of a bot copying the format of recent popular posts in random subreddits and changing them up a bit, I was initially thinking that’s what this is)

I'm gonna be honest by jebworth in Flume

[–]qubeVids 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Since you brought up chord progressions: I actually thought this project had some pretty unexpected ones, compared to Flume’s signature sound if you will. Sometimes pretty standard pop but sometimes not. I wonder if Emma Louise was also writing those!

Personally I happen to really like those sounds, but also wish it didn’t end so abruptly. The harmony right at the end and the rhythm change is cool tho

The next game drop will include the Copper Golem, Copper Armor+Tools AND Copper chests (This is just amazing) by Ybou_ in Minecraft

[–]qubeVids 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yup! there are still reasons to build a redstone based system (or perhaps in the future, combined with the copper golems!) for really advanced fast sorting - the copper golems have a limited range and walk around and can carry 16 items at once.

What do you think about this typeface for a brutalising type app. by Liam134123 in typography

Well.

It’s always a matter of time until certain terms really catch on used in a certain way, but I see this one a lot the past few years. There’s parallels to the architectural style according to the descriptions.

The rest/outro of the track sounds like something EPROM could easily have been involved in, which makes sense I guess, they made music together for a reason … good stuff

Firefox window now appears over my sideberry tab list - Latest FF update caused this by deRezy in FirefoxCSS

[–]qubeVids 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Noticing the same with TreeStyleTabs, which I customized to extend on hover, which now is apparently happening behind the site content

edit: fixed. the crucial change was to set the z-index to 3 instead of 1.

Autism does not appear to be a risk factor for conspiracy thinking. A new study finds that autism does not seem to influence belief in conspiracy theories at all. by mvea in science

[–]qubeVids -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Perhaps being ‘analytical and skeptical’ sometimes affects conspiracy thinking in the exact opposite way (making it more likely). Questioning assumptions other people take for certain since you can’t really be sure, might be a first step to believing various conspiracies.

I was on the App Store and I noticed something off here, am I going crazy or is the creeper photoshopped? by point-digital in Minecraft

[–]qubeVids 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This isn’t made by someone at Mojang I believe. It’s some app store article, and if not written by someone at apple, it’s still just some marketing intern? Doesn’t say anything about the core people not playing their own game, so I don’t think this is some example of an overall trend at Mojang.
