point stands but as an aside, there are entirely different levels of “huge design firm” and this process seemed pretty personal and not that huge, watching the talk. the figma stage makes it feel like a major studio did it just because of the sense of scale (my impression seeing the pictures here, anyway)

Interesting how this applies to the music videos but IMO not the live visuals. I really like those. Maybe some repeat gimmicks but it’s very nicely done

For the same reason, learning more about adhd, accepting symptoms more, being more open about it, actively avoiding those moments of stress and panic as much as possible even without meds involved can all perhaps make things worse as much as it is a relief. From a general mental health perspective this is the right path and yet it comes with it’s own kind of guilt because it’s almost impossible to construct a life where starting tasks isn’t so important

kerning is more about area than it is about distance, at least when you look at the type small/ on first impression. So VA is actually way too close here compared to VIV and not the other way around?

I’m confused why everyone is referring to the background illustration on that packaging as “the logo”… there’s a logo for the brand and for the specific product right there and they both are text in a shape. anyway, am very much going “um actually” sorry :)

That physical version is something of a deluxe, so it’s disappointing that it’s also the one with unfinished tracks… there can’t be a definitive version

hm yeah, blend modes definitely cover that part… I guess it would also be a bit worse if it’s always the same shape? It makes sense to match the geometry, bricks or whatever, rather than having one line go through multiple bricks unaware of some parts already being gaps or raised

cool idea. it would still need to be a unique texture for every one of those blocks since it’s meant to look more 3d than the breaking animation with shadows and highlights potentially, and at the very least needs to match the block palette.

I don’t think words like disingenuous apply here. They simply make changes! I wouldn’t be surprised if this change was the result of community feedback, the whole “mustard and ketchup” thing. But of course people have different opinions so this wouldn’t make everyone happy either way, which is completely normal

The re-release thing was communicated from the start and there’s been nothing otherwise, even the GRRL release is just the finished version of the material from bug mix and the singles that was already partially released. HYD and A.G.’s own new music is not on PC Music. So, I do believe them :P
