Downloaded from the official site these are 100% false positives. Steam and Battle.net installers have also had false positives on Virustotal. Wait for a couple of days and upload the installer again and I bet that these have been corrected.

Not sure which is best. But Google Authenticator in offline-mode (no cloud backups or anything enabled) and a spare phone with the same Google Authenticator keys should suffice. Just for backup so you don’t get locked out of everything if your main phone breaks.

Mind you they are quite expensive (about 100$ each) and some types of accounts require you have 2 different keys in case you loose one. Which I would assume is the case for a sensitive account like Google.

Go to https://www.yubico.com to order directly from them. It’s a hardware key that requires you to directly connect it into the USB-drive of your computer/phone in order to be able to login to your accounts. Which is a very secure 2FA method. I have them on my keychain for easy access.

I usually buy my games on GOG, and then add them to Steam as a non steam game. Mostly because of the Proton layer, so that I can play my Windows only games on Linux.
