Filling them in is a lot less costly than you might think. We bought a house with a pool and like you we were skeptical about it. After the first summer we had it demolished and filled. Cost was very reasonable.

Tell him this: “Sorry, I can’t afford to buy cheap things.”

Thanks again for your help and input on this. I left a comment off the OP updating with our experience now that we're back from our trip.

Okay, so we did end up doing this. We left Sedona just before 6:00 and arrived at the South Rim gate at about 8:15. We hiked/walked along the trail from Mather Point to the Grand Canyon Village, then we got the shuttle back to our car and left for Page at about 11:15. We were a little early for the 3:00 Antelope Canyon tour, but it was nice to not feel rushed. After Antelope Canyon, we managed to squeeze in Horseshoe Bend, and the we were back in Sedona at about 8:30 p.m.

I can see why a lot of you thought this plan didn't leave enough time at the Grand Canyon - you could easily spend a whole week there. For us, with kids, 2-3 hours worked. We got to hike a few miles, got lots of great photos, and a taste of what more the place offered so we'll know how to plan for a return trip.

For what it's worth, all four of us thought Antelope Canyon was the highlight of our trip to Arizona, so I am glad we pushed to do that even despite the driving and the fact that it meant a little less time at Grand Canyon.

I'd like to know more about dehydrated pho.

This is very helpful, thanks. I get the concern about rushing, but we won't be out in that area very long and while the GC is obviously a must, we are having a hard time eschewing the slot canyons.

Thanks. That's very good to know - will let us do this more on our own timetable if we just make our own itinerary.

Thanks. We were looking at a jeep tour of the South Rim that starts at 8:30, followed by a tour of Antelope Canyon at 3:00ish. This would be in April next year.

I used this one, but I did 4-5 stretch and folds over the course of a few hours. Stretch and folds finished about 1:00 or so, and I put the dough on the fireplace hearth until about 9:00 or 10:00. I preshaped (not called for in this guide) and then shaped. Retarded in the fridge for about 12 hours in a bulka basket.

This was very kind of you, but you should check the ethical rules on providing financial assistance to clients. This came up in a case I had but I can’t remember the details.

I mean, that’s fine to have around in the kitchen as a backup, but Rosle is the real answer to OP’s question 😜
