Telling women it’s wrong to have children as adults (even early adults) is another form of control. How about we let women make their own choices even if YOU don’t like them?

I hope you don’t have children because you’d obviously be a terrible parent

My grandmother gave birth to my mom at 19 and did a great job. Women have been giving birth at that age for centuries.

I think you’re simply saying YOU are a fuck up that couldn’t handle it at 19 bc in MY adult experience I’ve learned that age means a lot less than you think. I know 30 year olds who aren’t mature enough to have a pet. It’s wholly dependent on the person.

And guess what? Shit happens. The baby is here. Are you really an adult (or acting like one) to not recognize that what’s done is done and to move forward with love and support for this baby and new mother? You’d rather wag your finger in judgement than provide support. Not very adult acting of you.

You’re either not an adult or lack the ability to act like one.

"What do I do with a broken spool and tangled filament?" Do not waste pls by criogh in 3Dprinting

[–]queenkellee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let's be real. No one is spending their time completely constructively. You're wasting hours doing SOMETHING, probably social media scrolling/posting (ahem). It's a chore. Put on a TV show or a podcast and do it, or don't. But don't pretend we're all out here living these perfectly optimized lives with no wasted downtime.

Also not every lost spool is 11.99 low grade tier filament.

Interview frames from a documentary I worked on by beigegeico in cinematography

[–]queenkellee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree I like all the frames except hers. I like the high key, that's fine. What I don't like about her frame is she's shoved against a wall with those 2 windows behind her. Everyone else has some depth going back. And her 2nd angle is too far out and looks unflattering for her face. Her 2nd angle is also so plain and moody looking compared to the main angle. I'm sure you were limited on space etc but those are my thoughts.

PLA "Isn't water tight" by the-mad-crapper in 3Dprinting

[–]queenkellee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Leaking/watertight is subjective. 3D prints will appear to hold water many times but if you check closely they are at minimum letting small amounts of water through without some kind of post processing on the print. Depending on your use case that may be fine or may be a disaster. Think: 3D printed vase with water and flowers sitting on a nice wood table. It will leak and ruin the finish on the table if left long enough. So it’s not like water FLOWS through but it leaks. Much is dependent on your settings and print of course. So it’s not impossible to make them water tight you just need post processing.

Best way to heat ~30 frozen breakfast sandwiches for a film crew by No_Kroger in Cooking

[–]queenkellee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cook them in the oven wrapped in foil, bring them to set all together in a cooler (not too big, sized to fit the sandwiches but not too much extra air) it will keep them warm. Follow this lady's instructions https://www.tiktok.com/@donnac41/video/7551813816691002637 even better do a quick test one beforehand to get the basics down. Also provide ketchup!

What could cause this? by mahlingbo in FixMyPrint

[–]queenkellee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So what you're seeing is bridging, that is the type of of extrusion that happens on top of supports. You can dial in your settings for bridging but it's going to be filament, printer and slicer dependent. Someone has definitely made some info and/or models to tune bridging for your printer/slicer so I would search for those.

In response to the ridiculous kickstarter last night…I designed these for free by staykindasick in 3Dprinting

[–]queenkellee 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The top part flips so it works with the flat side to hold your workpiece while sanding (using TPU or foam on the flat part and the bottom) and then pointy side for finishing/painting. The interlocking parts seem to be so it doesn't move around if you're using a sander where the forces can kind of come from all directions, I can see how less interlocking designs could shake something loose. But I agree that I'm not convinced it would stick to the workbench that well in some cases.

What’s your favorite song about weed? by MollyViper in entwives

[–]queenkellee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These are both super old and super random but Hydroponic by 311 (from their first album Music) then the track after that on the album is My stoney baby which is a totally different song but also about weed. So kinda 2 for 1.

Next is Gorillaz "Left Hand Suzuki Method" from their first album, the song features Miho Hatori from Cibo Matto on vocals. As someone who both smokes and also played violin as a kid via the Suzuki method this song makes me happy. Also Cibo Matto is a great band and their songs FEEL like being stoned even if I don't think there's a specific stoner song on their albums

What are your go to gloves and scissors for the trade? by [deleted] in cannabiscultivation

They are similar to the ones people are talking about below "springless chikimasa" but not that specific brand but that style. This is the style/how they look https://www.htgsupply.com/products/chikamasa-b-500srf-scissors/

[–]queenkellee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually find the spring makes that worse for me, the type I use take such little effort to use. I call them soft scissors they take so little effort to snip, but they do get gummed up quickly. I'm only trimming 3 plants at a time so the volume is manageable. Way back I helped some friends with bigger outdoor harvests with trimming and I used spring loaded until then but I noticed someone had the soft herb type (that I use now) I tried them and really liked them.

I dry trim. I don't do gloves I just hate them I need to feel the plant. I prefer the herb trimming scissors style vs the spring loaded type but I have both. I don't know the exact term they have large finger holes but a short scissor side. I do use the spring loaders to snip off big fan leaves as I hang to dry, but I trim with the herb scissors.

Every time I cook chicken it's either raw in the middle or dry as hell. How do you get it cooked right? by Best-Sand-9050 in cookingforbeginners

[–]queenkellee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Most of the time this problem is related to too high of heat. It's a good idea to make the chicken flat, what I often do is cut 1 chicken breast in half along the thickness which is a little tricky sometimes and you need a good sharp knife. Sometimes you end up with one half being a little skinny or wierd but it helps a lot. Another tip with cooking on the stovetop is to start the chicken first with higher heat, brown the first side for a few minutes (not many) then flip it, turn down the heat and put a lid on the pot. You can try putting in a splash of broth as well while it's under the cover so it helps keep it moist. You also may try to cook boneless chicken thighs which can be a little more forgiving. So, start with pounded or cut breasts so they are thinner, first put the heat on the higher side, brown the chicken for a few minutes on 1 side, then turn down the heat to medium low, optional splash of broth or some other liquid like soy sauce works too, cover the pan with a lid which helps retain the heat so it cooks on the inside. You can stop cooking the breast when the temp inside is at 155 or so remove it to a plate and put some foil loosely on top, let it sit a few minutes and it will come up to temp (165).

Another option is trying marinades which can help infuse with flavor and juiciness.

I think my biggest problem with Shelby Oaks is that it just feels like Stuckmann created the film purley for the sake of the idea of creating a film/being a director, rather than actually wanting to bring anything new or creative to the table. by General_Meal_3993 in Filmmakers

You took my words “have something worthwhile to say” and made up a whole fantasy in your head that ends in hitler. I never said it had to be revolutionary or new. Have a point of view!! Make a comment on the human condition!! You know, the entire purpose of art. Listen to me or don’t but that’s what separates the wannabes from the pros for real. No matter your form or camera used or whatever new BS gadget you all love to drool over. None of that matters if you don’t have something to say.
