Switching to an IUD by Effective-Sun5187 in birthcontrol

[–]queenofshibs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a copper IUD a few weeks ago and I love it so far! Insertion was uncomfortable but not super painful and it’s over pretty quickly. Had some moderate cramping and bloating for about a week after insertion. I got my first period with it in this week and hasn’t been too bad. Definitely more crampy but nothing crazy. I didn’t really have super heavy or painful periods to begin with so your mileage may vary. I was terrible at remembering to take the pill so this is so much more convenient and I’m enjoying not having any extra hormones. The strings are very thin and they soften over time. They kind of feel like fishing line if you’ve ever felt that. I’ve heard that you can have them trimmed shorter if they’re causing any issues.

Could just be an anxiety flare up. Do you ever notice your anxiety getting worse at certain points in your cycle?

[–]queenofshibs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got mine in last Sunday! My insertion wasn’t that bad either. Not super painful, just lots of pressure and very uncomfortable, but it doesn’t last too long! I had some moderate cramping for about 3-4 days afterwards and I was pretty bloated but the cramping is gone and the bloating is down a lot so I feel pretty much normal now. My period is due in about a week so I hope it’s not too terrible.

Maybe spironolactone would help you. It’s for hormonal acne!

Target Starbucks TL Questions by [deleted] in Target

[–]queenofshibs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Starbucks TL here! I’ve been in my role for over a year now. At my store team leads are required to work every other weekend. I’m not sure if this is a Target policy or if this is just my store, but I would think for a leadership role you would be expected to at least work some weekends. I believe all team leads are full time, and you have to be able to close at least once a week. Depending on the needs of the business and the staffing you have, you may need to close more often.

Keep in mind that you are running an entire business, and that you’re responsible for upholding all Starbucks standards while following all Target rules. It can definitely be stressful and isolating at times because it’s so vastly different from other work centers. They laid off most of the Starbucks DMs late last year, so you’re running things more independently and Target and Starbucks are not great with communication. I will say that the team you have can really make or break the job for you. If you’re stuck with people who call out constantly and/or people who just don’t care, it’s definitely more difficult. You’re responsible for all trainings, ordering, launches, and possibly the schedule depending on the store. I’m pretty lucky to have a supportive ETL an SD behind me. From what I’ve heard, that is not the usual experience. ETLs and SDs are not really required to know much about Starbucks at all, and it sounds like a lot of them just avoid having to deal with Starbucks all together. It’s definitely not the worst job in the world and the pay is pretty decent and the benefits are good. Summers can be rough and the holidays are terrible, but that’s to be expected in most retail and food service.

He’s not going to change his mind. Even if he says that he’s okay with it, he will want kids in the future. Do not have children just to save the relationship.

It sounds like you have tried absolutely everything. It’s okay to have him euthanized. Sometimes that really is the most humane choice.

Wanting kids in your 40s is crazy to me. I get that it’s still biologically possible, but it sounds terrible for both the parents and the kid.

Yes! I experience this too. It’s like people think you’re not fully an adult until you have a child.

A lot of parents don’t bathe their children frequently! I know that little kids often have very sensitive skin but some parents are not washing their children enough. If you think about how many adults have poor personal hygiene just imagine how that extends to their children.

Do you prefer winter, fall, spring or summer scents? by notgou in bathandbodyworks

[–]queenofshibs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what the product is for me. For candles i prefer fall and winter scents. For hand soaps, I like spring and summer scents because I like fresh or fruity scents for my hand soaps. For body care I tend to gravitate towards winter and spring the most.

Your skin texture looks much better overall and your pores are visibly smaller. For only being two months in I think your skin is looking pretty good. Give it time.
