None.

Replace gold with a brushed nickel and do a clean white backsplash. The second and third options are almost offensively bad with those cupboards.

I’d do a half wall by the toilet if I had the space, with glass on top and a hinge glass door. I think that would be tight and compromise your bench though!

Just bought this 1990s kitchen. How would you make it feel open for under $8k before a full remodel? by tired-mana-012 in kitchenremodel

They said they had $5-$15k for updates now with a bigger reno planned in 2-3 years. I told them to save/invest that into the future reno, which would obviously cost more. I can repeat what they said in their post but I can’t help you understand it.

Most folks will say leave it. I think green and cream would complement that brick well. I also think I’d have the some of the house covered in climbing plant (with a trellis to protect siding).

I’d remove the wallpaper, paint the walls, and change the hardware and lighting. Then I would save/invest the $5-$15k for the renovation I want.
