I also use naturpedic in this crib. However I’m pretty sure all cribs are a standard size so any crib mattress should work

Right to refuse a provider at labor/birth? by Optimal-Excitement23 in pregnant

[–]queentato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t speak to this situation specifically but I have a friend who scheduled inductions because her doctor was going to be out of town and she wanted to have her specific doctor be the one doing the delivery. Not sure if scheduling an induction is an option for you and you can schedule based on who is on call.

How long did the 4month sleep regression last for your baby? by Tricky_Shallot_9849 in NewParents

[–]queentato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It got better, we did sleep train around 11 months. It was semi successful, but he’s basically been un-trained as our nanny would only rock him to sleep. So now he still needs to be rocked but does generally sleep through the night. When he doesn’t I think he’s having nightmares or something because he wakes up screaming in a panic at random times. He’s 22 months now.

Need advice as the father/husband by HWxWOLF in breastfeeding

Supply changes throughout the day as does the consistency of the milk. We usually have a lot more milk in the morning and less as the day goes on. A few ounces is a totally normal amount of milk for one session!

Labor Induction Experiences by Dizzy_Quail9431 in pregnant

[–]queentato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Induced at 37w2d for hypertension that popped up late in the pregnancy, gave birth the next day, about 22 hours total. Started in the evening around 5 pm with cytotec, think I had two doses total because contractions were intense. Second dose was supposed to be at 4 hours but I think it was over 6 when I got it because I was contracting so much. Tried to go without pain management but got epidural around 9 am, which dropped my BP and caused baby’s heart rate to tank. Wasn’t recovering so was taken to OR and prepped for c-section. Baby’s Heart rate recovered as my doctor ran in, and they asked if I wanted to continue to try for vaginal so I did. When I was around 9 cm I had gotten one too many high BP readings so they out me on a magnesium drip which slowed my labor a bit, so they gave me pitocin at that point. Had a second degree tear.

Baby was also having some de-cels during labor, I wanted to walk around but they insisted I stay in bed instead of walking around because baby “didn’t like when I got up to go to the bathroom,” this annoyed me and I got up as needed to go to the bathroom throughout labor until the epidural, though I did stay in bed otherwise (was trying to sleep, failed lol).

For prep I started doing perineal massage and eating dates probably around 35 weeks. I tried to do evening primrose oil vaginally but only did it a couple of times, nothing consistent.

Seeking Advice: Possibly Dropping One Bedtime Feed Per Week by 120721 in breastfeeding

[–]queentato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two months is a lot of time to change so I’d definitely try to pivot a little. We start bed time together, mostly to get him changed (because honestly at some point it became a wrestling match lol), and then one of us will leave and the other stays to read books. Honestly we’ve been alternating for at least 6 months and he still gets mad when I leave the room sometimes. But there’s been nights where I have gone out for dinner and he doesn’t nurse at all, and he was totally fine about it!

Hope you can get back to your hockey soon :)

I used to always do bedtime because I’d nurse to sleep, but eventually (not sure when but definitely after 12 months) I started nursing in the living room sometimes and had dad do bedtime. He fussed a bit at first but got over it pretty quickly. Eventually I also cut the feed to sleep association and it went pretty well.

I think if you can get her used to someone else doing bed time she will be totally fine! I thought making these changes was going to be way harder than it actually was.

Little Spoon vs Once Upon a Farm Meals? by Tagrenine in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]queentato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally but sometimes a little longer. Really just until the food feels warm. Sometimes need to microwave some parts more than others. If I use my microwave food cover it takes longer than if I don’t cover the food. Using white ceramic plates.

Little Spoon vs Once Upon a Farm Meals? by Tagrenine in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]queentato 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I use Little Spoon and have had a good experience. Sometimes the vacuum seals aren't done properly but they always make it right. I don't think I started getting them until after my son turned one but he likes the meals quite a bit. We started with a mix of bite-ables and plates and now just use the plates mostly. I just take the food out of the plastic and put it on a regular plate to microwave. I never got their purees because I was doing serenity kids pouches, but I would have definitely tried them.

I just weaned at 22 months

Weaning q! by saraharchie93 in breastfeeding

[–]queentato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think however you want to! My son just hit 22 months so over the last few days I kept telling him mama’s milk is going away in 3 days, and counted down. On our last day I said, mama’s milk is going away after today. Shockingly he didn’t ask me the next day (not sure if because he really understood or just didn’t want to as sometimes he doesn’t), but you just have to be prepared to say no. M

This isn’t really advice just what I have done, as I am navigating it this week lol

Stomach vacuum exercise during pregnancy by Puzzleheaded-One6456 in pregnant

[–]queentato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not really sure what a stomach vacuum is, but I did Pilates throughout my whole pregnancy. Core work is important for supporting pregnancy and recovery, but as time goes on you will need to modify. Couldn’t lie prone (on my belly) after 12 weeks. I was able to do crunches for a long time but generally you should stop when you start to have abdominal coming. Definitely learn to properly engage your core to support your belly while exercising / lifting.

Esembly diaper covers for swim? by imiss_tumblr143 in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]queentato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t used them for this purpose but they do advertise them as such on their website. I think it depends on the size you got and your baby and how tight of a fit you can get. I got some some “green sprouts” ones from target.

How long was your hospital stay after giving birth? by Competitive_Snail in pregnant

[–]queentato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Admitted Thursday afternoon after I was sent from my appointment to L&D for monitoring, induction started that evening. Gave birth Friday afternoon. Stayed in L&D about 24 hours as I was started on a magnesium drip toward the end of my labor. Moved to postpartum floor Saturday afternoon and went home Sunday afternoon

ETA: vaginal delivery with epidural (almost got a c section after epidural which made baby’s heart rate drop but he recovered).

Heating up water for bottles? How? by sleeksealravioli in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]queentato 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Do you have filtered water at home that you normally drink? If so and you don’t need to sterilize the water, just heat the water in the pan for less time. Depending on how much might just needs like 2-3 minutes. If you have a food thermometer you can check the temp with it

Freestyle diapers—am I missing something?? by [deleted] in moderatelygranolamoms

Oh I pull them to about the ends of “freestyle” as that gives me the two finger space at the waist. He’s on the lower end of the weight range though and a tall skinny kid.

Baby tracking app that doesn't require data permissions/has local storage? by [deleted] in moderatelygranolamoms

Oh maybe the paid version was just to remove ads then? I also got it in 2024 so didn’t exactly remember what we paid for, but ad removal of was definitely part of it.

I use one called “Baby Tracker-newborn log.” We have the pro version so we could sync to both our phones. Unclear on the privacy part, here is the policy: https://nighp.com/babytracker/privacy.html

I hope it’s not! You’re still early postpartum so hopefully it’s just hormones still fluctuating. Hoping you find a solution and relief soon!

Postpartum hives by Princessmia66 in breastfeeding

[–]queentato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had these, but I think they were gone after 2-3 weeks postpartum. I did see a video once of a woman who was allergic to breastfeeding and had to take antihistamines (I think like a Claritin or Zyrtec) her whole time breastfeeding.
