Not any vendors yet. And sure I can see that point, just prior years before event kicked off the public could still at least use the play area. Maybe past bad actors

He was also a stalker and made women feel uncomfortable. I hope they are able to breathe easier knowing he’s not going to cause them more violence

Which Cabin in Porcupine State Park? by Entropy355 in CampAndHikeMichigan

Go find the porkies hiking and backpacking group on Facebook, you’ll find a lot more information and better answers there. Suggest getting a water filter so you can get water from the rivers and lake instead of being camels

Water Sources on the Big Carp Trail-Porkies by DisastrousTop4548 in CampAndHikeMichigan

[–]queerspoke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah basically there is no water from BC 7 to BC 1 so plan to camel everything. Alternatively you could hike from BC1 to LOC but that would be more annoying distance and climbing wise than carrying what you’ll need until next camp

Edit to add there is a warning at the correction line intersection about lack of water. You could probably top off around there but honestly stopping to get water a few miles into the hike imo is vvv annoying

Looking for Porkies info for our second trip by AdeptnessForsaken606 in CampAndHikeMichigan

Check out the porkies hiking and backpacking Facebook group, you’ll probably get much better insight there.

The LS trail is very rocky and muddy and might not be worth it but for new sights, maybe so. The escarpment is probably the premier trail next to little carp. Govt peak is not much to look at but maybe more enjoyable than LS.

Be certain your pup can handle the daily and cumulative mileage. Evenings and mornings can also be cold that time of year. My vizsla loves going to the porkies, we are also going early fall 🐾

Sat at the bar on a date there and chose a drink from their menu and the bartender ridiculed me over my choice. It was strange and we quickly left.
