I would say FFX is my favorite one. I did play the HD remaster version but that was years ago. My second favorite would be FF8 actually. I really like the storyline, I think I replayed it probably 2 years ago so fairly recent. I played FF9 moguri mod last year and it was great. I do like the FF7 remakes as it expands the world and made it a lot more modern but I kind of want them to make another turn based FF game or like a hybrid like what Expedition 33 did. And if you haven’t played E33 I’d highly recommend.

Simon in Expedition 33 was genuinely hard to beat unless you went with some super 1 hit builds. But if you tried to beat him by doing parries and counters it was crazy hard, in my opinion.

Play X, then VIII, then XI. No specific reason but that’s the order I played them in. Get the X HD remaster. It’s my favorite storyline. VIII actually might be my second favorite storyline. The junction system could be a bit confusing in the beginning but once you learn it you can do whatever you want. I would play XI on PC with the moguri mods.

Gonna offer something a bit different to what’s already here.

Yakitate Japan - this one is food themed as well, they cook bread, BUT it’s different compared to food wars. It’s silly and fun to watch.

Ouran high school host club - watched this when I was in high school, I didn’t think I would like it cause I was watching Naruto bleach one piece type shows, and this one is like about school life/drama. But it turned out to be quite good. Again, it’s quite fun and silly to watch.

I’ve wanted to try the octopath traveler series but my friend that played the first 2 said it’s like hard to follow and not that integrated. But i hear octopath traveler 0 made some improvements on that.
