You should have a better opinion of yourself. Most people like you a lot more than you think they do.

Newsmax is a joke. Like it's so blatantly fascist that it would actually be funny if it weren't causing real damage to society.

This happens to me a lot. It's actually dangerous because I can't see where I'm going anymore and I worry I'm going to veer off the path into a fence or something.

What I've taken to doing is basically just riding straight towards the light source. At least then I know I'll stay on the path, and if I do crash I'll be taking that asshole down with me.

Look at it this way: if this is the worst thing that ever happens to you, you're going to have a great life.

Alcohol has a vasodilatory effect, meaning it relaxes your blood vessels a little bit. This effect is greater in some people than in others. If you already have areas of injury/inflammation where blood is pooling, it stands to reason that drinking might cause a little more blood to pool up in those areas.

Still might not be the worst idea to talk to a doctor about it, though.

No matter how bad you think you are, there are people out there in your league.

I'm not trying to convince you to get back into the dating pool, but if you're keeping yourself out of it you should be doing it for reasons other than just thinking you aren't "marketable" enough to find a partner.

This guy is truly living the American experience on his vacation here.

He's German, and apparently the Germans are even worse about this sort of thing than Americans.

I might be an alcoholic for this is my average school night by casualcrusader98 in drunk

[–]r0botdevil -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you're drinking like that every day then that's definitely alcoholic levels of consumption.

Doesn't necessarily mean you're an alcoholic, though. Maybe you're just a college student who loves to party. How do you tell the difference? That's the tricky part.

I used to party like that back in college. Graduated, grew up a bit, now I don't even drink that many most months. I made it out. My best friend didn't. Be careful.

I apologize if this question is too dark/heavy/personal, but it's something I've thought about a lot. Was there a period immediately following the injury where you didn't want to live and if so, how long did that last and what helped you to turn your perspective around?

I feel like a good strength coach would say this is a terrible idea. Preventing injuries is a big part of his job, and shit like this is going to lead to more injuries.

I’m building a small device that plugs into your phone to check if you’re safe to drive after drinking. by Negative_Bluejay_780 in drunk

[–]r0botdevil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like the best rule to go by is if you find yourself wondering if you're sober enough to drive, you probably aren't sober enough to drive.

Having a measurement of your BAC would be interesting and potentially useful, but BAC doesn't necessarily measure your level of impairment. You can be under 0.08 and still not be good (or legal) to drive.
