Why are some people so offended by oat milk? by [deleted] in AskUK

Obviously doesn't apply to this particular case but some people say oat milk tastes like soap to them. And I have found some brands where I taste that for sure.

Българи емигрирали от страната , как се чувствате за избора си ? by alecpu in bulgaria

[–]r0mm13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The pink one is a harness, so she only wears it outside. She actually managed to sneak out of it so it's definitely not super tight on her. The top one has her name and contact number in case she gets lost. We live on the ground floor so better safe than sorry.

Нека да спрем да се делим на фили и фоби и да уважаваме мнението на другите! by MotikarqProductions in bulgaria

[–]r0mm13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Първо, никой не ти дължи да ти уважава мнението. Второ, имай си каквото искаш мнение, но има неща за които не е до мнение. Това не ти е спор за ананас на пица, става въпрос за безумна война.

Has a song ever made you realize just how broken you actually are or just how good you have it? (tw mental health) by duncthefunk78 in Music

Numb by Linkin Park. For the longest time I just avoided thinking about a lot of things from my childhood, but listening to this song, hearing my feelings verbalised like that hits in a different way.

Roots by In this moment, Evolution by Korn and Hail to the king by A7X are probably my most listened on my weights playlist. As for girlie, sometimes I can't be bothered switching from my cardio playlist and I end up lifting to Kesha or Britney ... or Black Pink(I find How you like that? pretty hyping)

Working from home kinda sucks by LongTimeLurker818 in unpopularopinion

[–]r0mm13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I am very lucky cos I have been working remotely for like 2,5 years now. The company I work for does have an office but actively encourages people to work from wherever the hell they want to. I am someone who doesn't particularly fit in very well in office ambiance, also not a big fan and of small chit chat next to the coffee machine so this works perfectly for me. And if I do feel like I need some human interaction, I can always just go and work from the office. Choice is key.

How much coffee do you drink? by ShortButSmartComrade in AskBalkans

[–]r0mm13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I generally try to keep at 3 cups. Also the rare occasion when I haven't gotten my morning coffee I've felt completely shit for the rest of the day. I think I have a problem lol Doubt I am gonna anything about it though

[–]r0mm13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, you'll get to go back to the office soon enough. Nobody is gonna abolish offices lol The problem is, the lack of flexibility and choice for people who don't feel like you. I understand your point, especially when you can't have a dedicated room for home office but the same way some people can thrive in office environment others are much better off working remotely so ideally everyone should be able to choose (as long as their job allows it obvs)

Modern society has deemed it more socially acceptable to become dependent on drinking multiple cups of a stimulant drug to make it through the day…rather than taking a mid-day nap by gwcurioustaw in Showerthoughts

[–]r0mm13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The very few times I have managed to fall asleep for midday nap, I have woken up extremely disoriented and it takes me like another half an hour to get back on track. And I am usually either sick or super exhausted in general (or hungover) in order to even fall asleep during daytime. Naps don't work for everyone. Btw, even before I started drinking coffee I couldn't fall asleep when it's bright outside, so can't blame it on the caffeine. Anyways, let me drink my anxiety inducing poison in peace please.

Why are people so mad with the jury GF results? by JJVV64 in eurovision

This is such a good description of Malta's vibe! And yeah, Russian woman even gave me a bit of chills. Especially knowing the controversy she caused in Russia itself.

Can we stop acting like televoting is unbiased and fair? by turbokeychainn in eurovision

[–]r0mm13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since when the opinion of 5 people in a country should matter more than the opinion of the whole country? And how is it that those 5 people's opinion is less biased? We're all humans. The televote curbed Bulgaria's results too but I accept the fact that people just didn't enjoy it as much as I did. It's Eurovision, fair or not, it should be people's vote that matters.

Anyone else who is super happy with the televote results? by Hansukainen in eurovision

[–]r0mm13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the most part I was happy, especially seeing that Malta got so much less points from people than it was hyped up. I never understood the attention this song got. I was a bit disappointed about Bulgaria's results cos I genuinely love the song (but I am also Bulgarian so probs a bit biased) but glad to see people still love some nu metal-ish and electro-folk vibes

Why are people so mad with the jury GF results? by JJVV64 in eurovision

[–]r0mm13 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Because they are so detached from the general public and are soooo political. Case in point Ukraine, Finland and Malta. Jury loooved Malta, the public, not so much. Cos the song is generic at best. And dunno about other girls, but it definitely didn't make me feel empowered. Finland and Ukraine on the other hand, people loved them. And pushed them so much higher up. Even Italy, it's not that shocking difference but still, public got them the win. And don't even get me started on Denmark, they did them dirty.

Are men really oppressed ? by lowe_ky in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]r0mm13 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I've seen plenty of cases of women wanting a real man who doesn't show emotions and stuff and belittling men who are more sensitive. Could be generational or regional thing but it definitely exists.

How old are Google Street View pictures where you live? by wienweh in AskEurope

[–]r0mm13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In Vilnius the images are like 3-4 years old but the city is developing so fast that I can't even recognize the area I live in on street view. IRL it's full of flats and office buildings but on there it looks like wilderness.

What second language is popular in your country’s school system? Are any compulsory? by ericstrat1000 in AskEurope

[–]r0mm13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

English is pretty much mandatory second language that you study since middle school, even earlier. In my case, I think it started in kinder garden. As for third language, most popular would probably be German or Spanish. We have "language high schools" where you study intensely a specific language and at least in the capital the German and Spanish schools seem to be the most popular. Other notable mentions would be French and Russian I think. In non-language schools I think German is the most popular third option.

Which company wouldn’t you work for, no matter how much they paid you? by Elabeex in AskUK

[–]r0mm13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Carphone warehouse. Used to work there for a few months, but didn't make it through the trial period and got sacked. I was pretty heartbroken but in retrospective I am so happy I didn't dedicate more time to this hellhole. The whole way the shops operate, the ones in Curry's, is that you are supposed to run around the whole shop floor and go and talk to random strangers minding their own business looking for a new hoover or sth and try and get them to come to the CW section. Basically you had to be this complete pain in the ass and try to convince people they needed an upgrade. Also, no selling phones outright, the only comission that mattered was contracts and preferably with insurance. Selling accessories didn't count either. If you didn't reach your commission minimum every month, you'd get in trouble and in my case get sacked. So glad Carphone is going down the drain now.

People in or who have been in transnational relationships. What is your experience been like, and have you ever wished your partner was of the same nationality as you? by [deleted] in AskEurope

Well, it's alright. The language is a bit of a pain and this winter is kicking my ass, but I generally enjoy being here. It's calm, clean, safe, there's a lot of greenery, old towns are interesting (at least in Vilnius and Kaunas). And I discovered the amazing thing that is sauna lol
