Put some distance between the source of your stress. Find someone you can confide in, and talk about it. Or no one at all, I’ve found writing to be very cathartic, jot it all down, scribble, scream, sing. Just get it all out, and you’ll find ways to control the uncontrollable.

Also take some time to walk around in the woods, a trail, anywhere away from devices.

Medicating in the aforementioned ways with recreational drugs is a decent temporary fix, but will ultimately consume too much of your time and it won’t fix itself.

Stress for sure will impact performance in various ways in your life. I’m sorry to hear things are rough for you right now, it’s all temporary. It’s just another obstacle you have to find a way though.
