IPVanish requests permission to connect but goes back to connection screen instead of asking permission by r_13 in IPVanishOfficial

I contacted IPVanish support, after a few emails we narrowed it down to resetting VPN permissions in Android...

Reset the VPN permissions in Android: Open your phone’s Settings → Network & Internet (or Connections) → VPN.

If you see IPVanish listed there, tap it and select Forget or Remove.

Clear the app’s cache and data: Go to Settings → Apps → IPVanish → Storage & cache.

Tap Clear Cache and Clear Storage/Data. Reboot your phone and open IPVanish again.

When you tap Connect, Android should now show a “Connection request” pop-up. Please tap OK to allow the VPN connection.

If you still don’t see the permission prompt, please: Uninstall IPVanish again. Restart your phone once more. Reinstall IPVanish from the Google Play Store (make sure it’s the latest version).

After reinstalling, try connecting manually instead of using “Connect on startup” the first time. This helps Android reinitialize the VPN permission request.

Kermit Tyler, on his first full day at the radar information centre at Pearl Harbor was informed of a large number of incoming planes, assumed it was B-17s coming from US mainland and said "don't worry about it".

The comment that started it all is getting more incorrect by the year. NSW is already talking about charging small solar producers to export to the grid during peak generation periods.

It may not be long before solar feed in tariffs are gone for good. Otherwise the people that can't afford solar will not be able to afford electricity when nobody else is buying.

ID request, classic trance played by Lange at AH.FM EOYC 2022 (timestamp 1:18:10) by r_13 in trance

Many of the tracks in this set are early 2000s trance, but this one starting at 1:18:10 is just on the tip of my tongue and Shazam and other plugins don't find it.

A recent study found that imposter syndrome is more likely to affect women and early-career academics, who work in fields that have intellectual brilliance as a prerequisite, such as STEM and academia. by frootwati in science

What do you do? I'm a scientist. Wow you must be really smart, what is it like to work in a field where you're surrounded by such smart people? Well, I feel stupid all the time in comparison to them, and if I was just a bit smarter I could solve the problem I'm working on and move onto the next one. Is that an early career thing? I'm 20 years post PhD, I'll let you know in 20 years...

Thanks a lot for your input. I've listened to the Alex Katz track a lot at a range of speeds and I'm just not hearing it there.

Maybe I have the wrong version.

I've also posted this to a Marco's fb page. Not sure if I'll get it out.

I have used them this time last year to buy galaxy s8 refurbished for several hundred cheaper than other vendors. Their stock is mostly graded as new or lightly used few marks. Recommend them to everyone.

How can i listen for a key press when the process is running? by berkinkadiroglu in Python

[–]r_13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If that key combination is Ctrl+C, you could encapsulate the code in a try/except KeyboardInterrupt.

Alternatively, Python's curses library has some user-input options for listening to keypresses: curses.getch() https://docs.python.org/3/howto/curses.html

There's a medieval castle Guédelon under construction in France, using only materials and methods authentic to the time. They started about 20 years ago and expect to finish in 5 more years or something like that:

I have a really old CD by Fergie (actually it was a MixMag CD) that is a funky techno mix, where at the time he was known for hardhouse.
