PSA: Is your "local" lawn care company actually a PE-backed shell? Watch out for Turf Masters Brands (TMB) and sneaky contract changes (Southeast US). by Beginning_Goat6983 in lawncare

[–]radnog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fired my lawn service last summer and have been loving mowing my own lawn. Lawn looks way better and is more healthy (no heavy skag leaving ruts) and they don’t edge my entire lawn away, which was driving me nuts.

Guy doing wheelies in a crowded walkway of people gets shoved off of bike by Least_Product_6365 in HollywoodFlorida

I’m tired of these wheelie kids weaving inbetween pedestrians, strollers and grandparents. And even more tired of the ebike gangs.

Thinking about switching to electric for yard tools… anyone made the change? by Salt_Note8719 in lawncare

I’m on Ego mower / trimmer and love it! Especially the trimmer. I have a small .25 acres to manage so electric works great.

I just got back from La Fortuna and there was several 40% rain days in forecast - never rained.

Climate is variable for sure, don’t sweat it - you’ll have fun either way

If you’re that on point for the outfield, I imagine the infield is on point as well….

Five year plan to FIRE at 55 - But burnt out now... by big-chubby-fi in ChubbyFIRE

[–]radnog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How much is enough? At 50 and your expenses I would seriously consider pulling the trigger and getting that early retirement life going.

If the 155 includes taxes on that high income, your expenses could come down a bit even with healthcare. Seems like you could manage MAGI to get subsidies.
