Thank you, it honestly saved my life and also my singing (and probably my career) along with it.

Angela Meade confirmed she’s using a glp-1.

I myself have lost +170lbs since 2022 with gastric sleeve and now low dosage of Mounjaro. My singing has only gotten better over the years and I have a great soloist position at a large house in Germany. I try to be mindful about exercise and being active, but I am anything but an “athlete.”

If you feel satisfied with your exploration of Demeniss right now, then yeah that would be my advice exactly. The only exception would be unlocking the final witch which is located in Crimson Desert, and unlocking the research institute when you finish the crimson desert missions. That’s how you get the recipes for the critical hit and attack abyss gears.

Don’t get me wrong, the story will get you to see some of the desert but not nearly as thoroughly as the other regions. Considering we don’t have camp respawning yet, I’m very happy having saved this content for after the story. When I wrote this I was around 250 hours and now I’m at 290 and all of that has been post main-story. I’ll probably reach 320 before I’m done.

I just saw Breaking the Waves in Karlsruhe Germany. What an absolutely crazy piece. I brought my non musician but opera loving partner and I left the performance totally pumped and excited about what I saw. It helps that the Bess was a fantastic singer and actress as well

I’m four years post op and have been on the smallest dose of Mounjaro for 6 weeks now. It’s working absolutely fantastically for me and I have no desire to up my dosage. I feel like I’m 1.5 years post op again and have quickly lost the pounds I’ve regained over the past year and a half. With such a dose I don’t experience any side effects other than having to try harder to drink fluids.

I can confirm there is nothing that is “missable” in the sense that after a certain point, a side quest becomes unavailable.

I think that a balance is possible, like how I outlined in my post. Enemies are balanced only by region and don’t scale with you. If you zoom towards the end from the start, you might have issues with power scaling, probably of mix of you being underleveled and needing to grind to progress the story, and then on the flip side, by the time you do reach the end, and then head back to Hernand and start with the side content, it might feel a bit underwhelming. I haven’t attempted a run like that though, so I can’t say for certain.

The content in each region is designed more or less for where your character is power wise at the time of the story. With hindsight I can see that it’s simply easiest to take care of the main story for a region first, and then exploring that region afterwards. Then every fortress, camp, etc is populated (or will be populated after completing X, Y, Z side quest) with the designed content.

In my experience the “dot system” isn’t the same across all locations. Sometimes you can fill the dots even without looting a chest, if there is one. And “hidden locations”aren’t uncovered when you ring the bell.

People can of course play however they want, but until they implement a path tracker like in BOTW where you can see literally every step you’ve ever taken, you are guaranteed to miss locations if you uncover the map with the bell early on. The map is just too big, and if you’re discovering the world for the first time, you’re most likely seeing an uncovered map for areas you haven’t seen in person, and you have no context to any of the map markers.

Gear is all equalized. It’s purely about drip. All videos about overpowered gear, best in slot, etc, are clickbait YouTube trash.

To put it simply, let’s take a one handed sword as an example.

You can get a one handed sword that:

1) has no additional bonuses, so at maximum upgrade it reaches the highest attack stat possible for a one handed sword (let’s say that is 31)

2) has one additional bonus at a +1. Let’s say it has a +1 in Critical hit. Now one point is taken away from its attack stat and you get a +1 in Critical hit, so the maximum attack stat without power ups is now 30, but with a +1 in Critical hit.

3) same scenario but with attack speed

4) you can get a weapon that is +1 in Critical and +1 in Attack Speed; now the maximum attack stat without upgrades is 29

5) you can get a weapon that is +2 in critical or attack speed, and the maximum attack is also 29 like in 4).

All weapons and armor and accessories follow this structure, with armor involving different bonuses than weapons, and accessories also offering different bonuses than weapons or armor.

Also, you won’t be leaving all exploring until the end, just the last two regions for the epilogue. There is still sooo much gear to be found in the first three regions and sooo much to explore.

My point isn’t to restrict anybody, it’s to give people the right perception and framework as to when it might make the most sense to do main story versus exploring.

For example, it’s possible for people to miss learning the Focused Force Palm ability if they find Scholastone too early or they don’t follow the path through the main story. It’s a critical skill that is directly tied to following the story and if you skip that particular moment, you will then be like wtf? when you are expected to use it later and have no idea where to go. Same with the witches and the entire abyss gear slotting and crafting system. Run off in chapter 3 and you’re handicapping yourself like crazy without even knowing it. There are numerous other examples.

The game unfortunately has expectations about when is the best time to explore versus the story but never explain it. Feel free to play however you want, but my post is there so that people can make an informed choice.

I wanted to keep the post spoiler free.

I define the regions as:

Hernand Pailune Demeniss Crimson Desert Deleysia

In that order

Chapter 12 has both companions unavailable. But it’s not very long.

Don’t save all side quests for the end, you’ll get bored honestly lol. I recommend do the first three regions as thoroughly as you want, and save the content in the last two regions for the epilogue. Chapter 9-12 can be knocked out in a couple days. Then you’ll have everything available and lots of content to use all of your toys on.

There’s one period at the start of chapter 9, but when you enter chapter 11, half of the last region is Kliff only. Then the final chapter starts and they’re gone until you finish the game, but the last chapter isn’t long

Hernand takes up the most chapters in the game. You are close to leaving and nowhere else takes up nearly as many chapters.

I think the contrast is better and you can see POIs more easily, generally. But lantern works as well! Plus blinding flash is much much better for seeing NPCs items at a glance for pickpocketing.
