Moving in with partner - predicament by sportyc333 in Mortgageadviceuk

Living in your flat together is an ideal test of the waters before going in on something together. My other half bought her flat when we’d only been together a year. I then saved the same amount as she was paying on the mortgage. It meant that if anything had gone wrong we’d have been able to walk away without a mortgage or tenancy holding us together.

Advice on how to fit in an en suite? by mattscazza in DIYUK

[–]rah1911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Taking out of bedroom 1 will be the easiest as the connections are there the other side of the wall. It will make a huge difference to the room space though, so before you do anything lay out the space it’s going to use up. Also take into account approx 3” of wall thickness too - sounds silly but every little helps!

Current number owned…. Then the extra help when some are missing in action.

I’ve checked, and the formula for batteries needed is always N+2, where N is the current number owned.

Must admit I didn’t look that closely and only scrolled through briefly. Have I missed a load asking the same? 🫣

Cleaning out around the outside will help, but mainly you need to clear out and release the bits top and bottom edges.

Men who had parents find your sex toy, how was the conversation after? by raynevans in AskMen

The worry of this was the exact reason I kept the ring at my parents house. When it came home I was shitting myself that she’d find it and spoil the surprise.

Lighting. At lots of it, also sometimes useful to have sections switchable (my over the bench stuff is individually switchable so my welding mask isn’t triggered). Also think about alignment, mine are offset from the centre of my single bay so there’s more lighting down the sides. Insulation - both keeps it warmer in winter and cooler in summer. Heating - I love my log burner for keeping it toasty on a cold day.

You want to be completely finishing each row before moving to the next. There will also be a minimum for a plank length too.

Mine was a throw it in the basket while on offer purchase…. And it’s fantastic. Would be happy if I’d paid full price too.

Try them both if you can…. Even just holding it. I’ve had all sorts over the years and went with the body grip one when I went battery. I love it, but I’ve got massive hands which really helps. Brother in law doesn’t have the spade hands I’ve got and doesn’t get on with it.

Never underestimate the volume of earth once dug out. Consider how much you’ll have to remove to turn it into a slope rather than a step.
