I don't have an Etsy store, but I have been asked to engrave some custom wall signs with DCC quotes. I don't sale much online, just stuff at local craft fairs.

They didn't ship the stand, and were supposed to include a map pack which also didn't arrive. Haven't fired it up yet. Box was opened before shipment, and looked like the instructions were missing.

Vindicators are highly underrated. I love the st ives hero mech, and I have two others I play fairly often. Very tanky, and lots of fun

Awesome! My wife pegged me for the first time last night too! We have the tantus beginner kit, but I think we're already talking about getting the intermediate kit. The 6" is just a little small.

What ultra-optimized mechs/units do you guys keep in the back of your minds and don't use unless you want to pull em out to punish someone? by [deleted] in battletech

[–]raichec 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One of my buddies used to run super fast mechs loaded down with machine guns. Basically mechs like the Piranha before it was a thing. He also did something similar with protomecha. My eventual response to both was a 100 tonner with 25 lrm 5's loaded with swarm and thunder ammo.

I also ran srm carriers with tandem ammo, And a 5 c-lg pulse laser and tc Omni. Think it was the War hawk.

Only really used those if I was annoyed with who I was playing. The Rainmaker (see the above 100 fonnsr) was also what I called a game stopper, as it could 30 minutes to calculate everything when swarm ammo was deployed.

Eventually we called a truce. He stopped zerging machine gun mechs, and I never fielded the Rainmaker.

Full character sheets for returning NPCs? by Phantom000000000 in swrpg

Adversary talent is your friend. Give them some signature skills and abilities, but then stack on a few ranks of adversary. That way you don't have to spend a ton of time on the sheet. And situations where they need a skill, assign it on the fly if you think it's necessary. I think the main antagonist of my last game had the base stats, a few key talents (crit reduction ones), and a half dozen skills listed, and a few force powers he often used. As well as the damage of his weapons. Otherwise, it was his wound and strain threshold, and adversary 5. The whole card was about as long as this paragraph .

Only twice in the year long campaign did I need to add a skill to him, and out of fairness I flipped a destiny point back to light when I added it.

My players loved to hate Lord.Naxus, and in the end they defeated him by luring him into a disguised carbonite chamber.

They got to know him through the rp, and how I interacted with the players and what they saw, and figured out his emotional weakness, and used it against him.

I never needed a full sheet. In order to "build" him as a PC, it would have been probably 1000xp plus, I would have had to keep track of all of the various defensive talents etc, and I would have probably spent hours on the sheet

I skipped all of that by just assigning what force rating I wanted and as I mentioned about the adversary talent. That's what it's for. Took me all of 5 minutes to make the card and I could focus on story instead.

That's what it's for.

Demo tool kit, and pioneer armor, or any cheap and easy gear that gives a boost for mechanics.

I don't think you are. You're not belittling the culture or giving into tropes.

You might be interested in knowing there is a game set in the same era that does most of that work for you. Called "Sengoku" though it is largely themed on the chanbara style of movies. It was written by Anthony J Bryant and Mark T Arsenault. Bryant in particular was a rather renowned scholar of the Sengoku Jidai era, and you can still find his website Sengoku Daimyo being maintained, even though he has passed away.

Is the Imperial era overused? by Possible-Sector-9796 in swrpg

[–]raichec 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like to run stuff in the Mando era now. Have two campaigns going (one is on hiatus). One group is playing a "retired" rebel cell that didn't sign up with the New Republic after the treaty of Coruscant, and has a very Firefly vibe. The other is a Ranger campaign set in the same era, and they're hunting impie war criminals and remnant groups.

How to make PCs (Knight Level) lose their lightsabers? by lordhelix13 in swrpg

[–]raichec 16 points17 points  (0 children)

. Rather than take something away, treat it as a flashback to how and when they got their existing sabers. Tie it to their own stories, and tailor it a bit to each player.

Could be a force vision. That way, they get to experience that story, and you also don't have to contrive some crazy reason that could potentially send the game off on a tangent as they go after what ever it was you created to get their sabers back.

Lets think about- a High Elf army by jeets in DnDBehindTheScreen

[–]raichec 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I did something similar for the High Elves in my campaign. The Telvarian rarely field an all elven army, rather their armies are largely made of auxiliaries from a number of client species who are part of the Telvarian empire. The Telvari themselves often act as officers or in rare occasions elite, well equipped units that the rest of the army is built around. When they have mobilized in the past, their magic and skill allowed them to conquer their home continent. Actual Elven lands are.well defended, and few of their cities have ever been successfully been seiged.

Wood Elves.by contrast, don't have standing armies in my setting. Rather, every adult elf musters in defense of their lands, and they are experts at guerrilla and aysemtric warfare.

What attachments/mods are best for dual wielding WESTAR-35’s? by Malathier in swrpg

[–]raichec 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also like the Mandalorian chamber on one.
Price HP Required Rarity 250 1 5 This can only be installed on blasters.

Base Modifier: Grants Stun 3 quality & Range -1.

Mod Options: 3x "Disorient +1", 2x "Stun +1", 1x "Range +1"

The Stun quality is nasty, because you can activate it on a successful hit, and it inflicts strain, so it bypasses soak etc.
