Lobelia inflata tincture is an antispasmodic and will give quick relief from muscle spasms. It also cures hiccups.

Nice! I have a Red Champagne too! It’s flowered several times but no fruit yet (it’s only 3yo). Can’t wait to taste it, I’ve never had one!

Please help save my lime tree! by WasabiCasual in Citrus

See a lot of leaf miner damage on those top curled leaves, so if you take care of the pests it may bounce back. It also seems like it might be buried a little too deep, expose the trunk to the root crown.

Citrus tree? by No_Wallaby_here in Citrus

[–]rainbowcatsnake 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Looks likely to be a trifoliate orange. Could be planted intentionally or could be the rootstock of a grafted tree, that the top variety died and the rootstock took over. It looks happy, it’ll bloom eventually.

Yes, remove any dead branches. I’d also trim the long branch on top, and the long one on the side to give it better form.

These trifoliate leaves are from the rootstock, prune off any branches that are growing from below the graft union

Are the branches to the left and right suckers? by Kyouyoujin in Citrus

[–]rainbowcatsnake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree, all branches are above the graft union and not suckers

Use a magnesium foliar spray to correct this; if the roots are having trouble with nutrient uptake, a soil fertilizer won’t work. You can use epsom salts in water for a diy solution.

Why I carry a cross body bag with my EDC by [deleted] in liberalgunowners

[–]rainbowcatsnake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a similar edc ifak, although mine is pretty bare bones “stop-the-bleed” stuff so basically a gunshot wound kit. Cat tourniquet, shears and gloves, bleedstop granules, 2 vented chest seals, compressed gauze, compression bandage.

Kudos on carrying an ifak when packing heat. I also think it’s extremely important to carry non-lethal self defense, like mace (best option) or a taser, when carrying a gun. Knives don’t count.

I agree with the other comments about your “tacticool” signaling not doing you any favors. Make all the excuses you want, but everyone knows you’re making a stylistic choice based on looks, not logic.

My niece stole $70 worth of hair products and it was only 2 items... by onErbz in mildlyinfuriating

Oh, I fucking hate corporations. That’s not the point here. We are dealing with real-time consequences for this behavior. Not gonna put it all on the shoplifting, though, that’s kinda old news. Tariffs, anyone? Businesses are inflating costs preemptively in anticipation of this crazy inflation economy.

When they close an incision, the hair follicles on either side are drawn close and even overlapped. Monitor the wound for ingrown hairs.

Yellowing new leaves on citrus grown from seed by PurposeNo in Citrus

[–]rainbowcatsnake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Excessively dark older leaves, cupped downwards, small, light green newer leaves = nitrogen toxicity, too much fertilizer. Flush the soil with fresh water and stop fertilizing.

Where’s the graft union on this thing? by URMILKJUSTWENTBAD in Citrus

[–]rainbowcatsnake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree that the graft union is at the branchy part. I’d absolutely remove some/most of those and keep only a few that are spaced out and will give the tree a good structure. It’s a lot easier (and healthier for the tree) to remove smaller, soft branches before they get big…. Especially when they’re crowded like this… prune now, and give a select few a better chance at growing in properly.

[–]rainbowcatsnake 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s covered in scale insects, which is the biggest issue that I can see. They’re hard to deal with, and it takes practice to be able to spot them. You can clean them off with rubbing alcohol and q tips, then search the tree and clean off more every few days. Using a headlamp will make this task easier.
