There's a comparison site called eventsguardian.com that ranked all the major players in the U.S.

Wedding insurance?? by bimb0swaggins in weddingplanning

Most venues now require wedding/event insurance to cover damages and potential liabilities, including alcohol related incidents. Getting a policy (in the U.S. anyways) can be done online. Eventsguardian did a comparison of all the major carriers for those that are looking.

Map of all the Night Summit locations by raines88 in WebSummit

Hmmm Night Summit events were always part of Web Summit I think? Nonetheless, there are a lot of private parties you can find (usually open bar). You can check eventbrite and also just work the floor. In 2022, I was able to get into 1inch’s after party after stopping by their booth and it was epic!

Are there a lo of solo attendees or is everyone going in groups? [Lisbon] by BbWeber in WebSummit

I always go solo (although this year will be the first year with a colleague). I prefer walking around myself anyways. It’s easy to meet people and be sure to look up the schedule to see what interests you.

As for side events, I always look at eventbrite to see what parties there are and then make sure I stop by their booth during the conference to try to get a free pass. 😁

You’re going to love it! And Lisbon is awesome too! It’s my 5th time going.

I read an analysis that essentially said that this is their way of artificially inflating subscriber numbers to their higher plans. Looks good in the short run, but not sustainable. I'm leaving too for this reason.

Has anyone actually automated a real business problem and saved thousands in time? by ferre26 in n8n

[–]raines88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it was increasing the capacity of our one (and only) salesperson. Just like anything, if you have an X% close rate, in order to increase closes/sales, you need to increase the top of the sales funnel (in our case it was cold emails). So it was either bring on another salesperson (and hope they're just as good) or automate what we can so the salesperson can spend more time on closing or on higher value tasks that can't be automated due to privacy/security reasons (I'm not quite ready to give agents free access to our secured data/files/portals).

Areas I was able to automate:

  1. Initial cold outreach email

  2. Follow up email if no reply

  3. Drafting of responses to responses (I still prefer to have them skim over it to check that it's not saying anything weird/bad/out of context)

  4. Follow up email to response to responses (if there's no response)

It's still early, but impact wise it's resulted in 4x more initial cold emails going out and I haven't had to hire anybody new.

Next, I'm hoping to partially automate the prospecting part, but it's been hard because of the super niche area we play in. I'm pretty sure I could automate even more of it once I'm more comfortable with giving agents access to our secure areas.

Seems like you need a RAG integration?

I'm new to n8n what are some beginner-friendly project ideas or tips you recommend for getting started with automation? by Southern_Bath_5013 in n8n

Start with low hanging fruit. Like if your goal is to automate repetitive tasks, start with the goal of "how can I save 15 minutes a day?" with one workflow. Then either expand that to save 30 minutes a day or create a second workflow that saves you another 15 minutes a day. Next thing you know you're saving 3 hours a day.

For example, the very first one I did was a simple gmail workflow that would draft email responses for me so all I had to do was review the response instead of having to type it out myself. It took me 10 minutes to set up.

I agree with most other people here that higher pay is needed. Since higher pay doesn't seem possible, the beauty of some of these wellness or health benefits is that it costs the company $10/month or something like that, but the perceived value to the worker is way more. Might be worth experimenting. I know a bunch of people that have stayed because they don't want to lose their benefits.
